Professor Oak and Tobi continue walking deeper into the cave as they encounter a lot of Charmander and a few Charmeleon on the way.
At the very end of the cave, they saw an opening as they walk toward it.
As they exited the cave, they were greeted by a blinding light which took Tobi a few seconds to adjust while Professor Oak seems unaffected by it.
But after Tobi adjusted his sight, his eyes widen seeing this peculiar environment in his surroundings.
A bunch of volcanoes was present which technically was impossible, and was actively erupting which was also impossible.
Tobi's common sense which was built back on earth was broken seeing this bizarre nature in front of him.
There wasn't a single place in this vicinity where Lava hasn't reached as there is no longer any grass life visible.
But thankfully, Tobi and Professor Oak we're protected by psychic energy preventing any heat to reach them.
Professor Oak then continues walking straight into the very center of the lair while Tobi who doesn't want to be left behind follows closely behind him.
Tobi was genuinely amazed as he saw a bunch of Charizard soaring in the sky with flame in their mouth, threatening to burst out.
Tobi soon felt slight tiredness but fortunately, they have finally reached the center of the lair.
There stood an intimidating Charizard which could scare even an experienced trainer to death but Tobi wasn't that easy to scare.
Since the very beginning, Tobi hasn't felt fear but curiosity and interest in the bizarre environment in this Charmanders' lair.
Professor Oak was surprised to see Tobi remaining calm which was the opposite of all it people who saw for the first time the Charizard in front of him. Including himself but in Professor Oak's defense, he was still a weakling at that time.
The intimidating Charizard only stared at Professor Oak's body with his ferocious eyes as it felt psychic energy connecting him to Professor Oak.
{It's been a while since you visited, Samuel} The Charizard stated with a deep voice as they communicated using their mind.
This wasn't their first time doing this as the Charizard seems used to it.
{Indeed my friend, It's been a long time.} Professor Oak replied as he said the latter half of his sentence with nostalgia.
{What's the purpose of your visit, is the Charmander im sending you wasn't enough} The Charizard noticed Professor Oak's nostalgia but didn't bother noting it as he went straight to the topic.
The Charizard only then noticed Tobi who was standing behind Professor Oak, looking at him with curiosity and yearnings.
{Who's this kid? You never brought anyone with you ever since we first met} The Charizard commented as Tobi caught his interest, especially the way it was looking at him.
{Well, this boy was going to be soon a part of our family, he wanted a Charmander as a starter that's why we came here.} Professor Oak explained as he patted Tobi's shoulder.
'What the hell is happening?' Tobi thought while glancing at Professor Oak and the Charizard who were only standing still, staring at each other.
Tobi has no idea whatsoever what Professor Oak and the Charizard were talking about but that didn't stop their conversation.
{That's odd, don't the Charmander I sent to you enough? If so tell me, I'll recommend some as compensation for the Charmander} The Charizard asked and commented in a single paragraph.
{No, the Charmander you sent was top-notch, This was his trial, a trial to prove whether he was talented or just lucky} Professor Oak refuse Charizard's help.
{Well if you say so} The Charizard just shrugged and didn't bother asking for any more details.
*Roared!!*
The Charizard roared startling Tobi who was being obedient in the side and remained quiet from the very beginning.
Tobi then felt the ground trembling as tons of Charmanders were sprinting toward their location.
Fortunately, the Charmanders were reasonable and didn't trample Tobi and Professor Oak but dodged them as they come out unharmed in the stampede of the Charmanders.
The Charmanders then stood behind the intimidating Charizard as they all stared into Tobi's body with confusion.
Tobi was also confused at what was happening as he felt a hand patting his shoulder.
He looks at his side and it was Professor Oak, "Come on boy, choose your Pokemon" Professor Oak said while pointing at the Charmanders.
"Me?" Tobi confusingly asked but nonetheless walk toward the Charmanders as he carefully appraised each one.
Tobi wasn't afraid to use his appraise since no one would notice it and would only blame his talent whenever he chooses a high aptitude Pokemon.
The majority of the Charmander was in Green stage aptitude ranging from light to Deep, A few manage to reach the Red stage while only 3 possess DeepRed aptitude.
Tobi held his child while choosing between the three Charmander, Only one was a boy while the other two were a girl.
And as just he was about to decide, he saw oval-shaped silhouettes in the corner of his eyes.
'An Eggs!' Tobi thought recognizing the Oval shaped silhouettes.
The eggs were placed on a hole filled with lava inside and were connected to a volcano.
He walked near toward the eggs as he also carefully appraised them.
Professor Oak and Charizard on the other hand look at each other, {What are he doing} The Charizard asked.
Professor Oak only shrugged as he was also confused, You can't after all identify a Pokemon's aptitude when it was still inside the egg, it was common knowledge in the Pokemon world.
After a few minutes of appraising, a peculiar egg caught Tobi's attention.

Most of its status was Unidentified just like the other egg around it but Tobi was one hundred percent sure this is the Charmander he wants!
Its aptitude alone was comparable to the Scyther he planned hard to kidnapped and it was also shiny!
Tobi lift the egg and leveled it in front of Professor Oak's face, "This is the Pokemon I want!" Tobi cheerfully stated.
*ROAR!!* {NO!!}
