Kapitel 40: Protecting Her Family

Dahlia hardly came out of the shack that disrespectful vampire kidnapped her only to hear the villagers shouting her name. They must have been searching for her. Oh thank God, someone was here for her.

At once, she followed the direction of the torches and it didn't take her long to locate them, however, a villager was the first to sight her. 

"She's here! I've found her! She's here!" The villager shouted in delight and in no time, Dahlia was surrounded all around by them. 

All of a sudden, a path was created in the middle as her mother made her way through and she lurched into her waiting arms. 

"Mother!"

"Dahlia!" 

The woman tightened her grasp around her as if Dahlia would disappear if she let go. Although the hug crushed the air out of her lungs, Dahlia didn't want to let go either. This was the first time she had a mother figure worry over her, she wanted to savor the feeling as long as it lasts.
