Kapitel 47: Cause and Effect pt. 1
3 days passed
Nami was sitting in Thirteen's room and reading a newspaper as Vivi changed Thirteen's towel. Her brows jumped as she read and glanced at Vivi before biting her lips. She closed the newspaper, folded it, and got up, saying "I'll be right back."
Vivi nodded and Nami left the room, she went to the deck and waved the newspaper, saying "Guys!" the rest looked over and Sanji slid over, saying "Yes, Nami-swan~?" Nami held up the newspaper with a troubled look on her face as she said "What do we do?"
Sanji lost his smile as he read and looked grim, Zoro glanced at the paper and stayed silent, Luffy stretched his neck over, and Usopp read it before saying "We have to tell her, right?" everyone stayed silent and Usopp looked around, saying "Right?!"
Luffy squinted at the picture of people in desert clothes holding swords, suddenly they all heard "Tell me what?" Nami froze, Zoro and Sanji looked over at Vivi, Usopp opened his mouth but nothing came out.
Vivi looked at the group and Luffy grabbed the newspaper, throwing it at her. Nami said "Wait!" Luffy glanced at her and she bit her lips.
Vivi caught the newspaper and read it before gasping and dropping it to the ground. She said quickly "We have to go! They're starting the rebellion! If I do-" before her words got caught in her throat and looked at the crew.
Zoro stared at her silently, Sanji exhaled smoke from his nose, Usopp clenched his fists, Nami covered her mouth, and Luffy was expressionless, looking at her silently for a moment before saying "Your choice."
Nami turned to him and said "LU-" Luffy covered her mouth and stared at Vivi silently. Sanji grabbed Nami's shoulder and shook his head.
Vivi clenched her fists and looked at the newspaper on the ground. The headline read 'Alabasta starts its rebellion! End of the desert country?' she took a breath and her fists slowly relaxed as she bent over, picking up the newspaper.
She slowly said, "After we find a doctor we'll rush back to Alabasta." her face came back into sight and she smiled "I'm sure we'll make it in time. Right?" Nami teared up and Luffy grinned, Zoro smirked, Sanji smiled, and Usopp let out a breath of relief.
Luffy said "Let's move faster!" before going back to the head of the ship and sitting down. Zoro walked to him, Sanji went back to the kitchen, Usopp went back to his gadgets, and Nami ran over to Vivi.
She hugged Vivi tightly and said softly "Thank you, Vivi." Vivi was stunned and her lips curled into a small smile as she hugged Nami back. Nami let go and wiped her eyes before going into the cabin.
Vivi smiled and followed her.
Zoro leaned on the railing and watched Vivi go before saying "You weren't going to actually go, were you?" Luffy just stared out to the sea and stayed silent, Zoro looked at him and grinned, Luffy also grinned and chuckled, ending the conversation as Zoro walked away, adding "Very 'pirate' of you, Captain."
Luffy just grinned as he kept an eye out for any islands.
A while passed
Thirteen opened his eyes and tried to sit up, Viv pressed her hands on his chest and said "Woah! You're still sick, just relax." Thirteen looked at her and she had a stern look on her face, he blinked at her and glanced at her hands.
She pulled her hands back slightly with a scared look in her eyes before pushing back on his chest and saying with a shaky, yet firm, voice "I-I said r-rest." Thirteen looked at her in the eyes and she revealed her fear.
Thirteen grabbed her wrist when the door opened and Nami walked in, saying "Vivi! I go- Oh! Let her go." Thirteen turned to Nami, who was holding a basket of fruits. She walked over and grabbed Thirteen's wrist, adding "Please?"
Thirteen looked at her before letting go, Vivi said "C-Can you p-please rest?" Nami glanced at Thirteen and tilted her head, he blinked and his tail grabbed an apple before he laid back down.
He ate the apple, staring at the ceiling, as he heard the other him complaining "Why can't we just kill her?! God I hate these people!" Thirteen closed his eyes and ignored him, this guy was an idiot.
The blue haired Noble was worth a lot of money.
The other him grumbled "So what if she's worth a lot? We don't need money!" Thirteen muttered "Bunny." the other him went silent before mumbling "That's true… but we can just kill her after! Then the shopkeeper! Then steal the bunny clothes!" Thirteen tilted his head, it WAS a tempting offer…
Unfortunately, the other him continued "Then we can kill everyone! Haha! The crew! Burn the ship! Kill everyone! HahahahahAHAHhahaha!" Thirteen muttered "Shut up, dumb monster." the other him shouted "I'M NOT A MONSTER! I'M YOU! WE ARE THE SAME!"
Thirteen ignored him again as Vivi glanced at Thirteen, asking "Um… Is that normal?" Nami chewed on an apple, saying "Hm? Oh yeah, it happens all the time. Don't worry about it." as she read the rest of the newspaper.
Vivi looked at Thirteen and gulped before continuing.
As she changed the towel, the ship started shaking intensely and explosion sounds went off.
