Kapitel 55: Best Friends and Couples
Alice smiled sarcastically leaving Carlos.
She came out of the house and greeted Felix with his battered car that started to enter Bella's house area.
Carlos could only stare blankly at them leaving.
Again Felix is one step ahead of Carlos.
"Carlos, are you coming again?" said Bella who was suddenly behind Carlos.
"Ah, Bella! You make me surprised!" Carlos said.
"I've been reminding you many times, Carlos. Forget Alice, if you do this you will only torture yourself," Bella said.
"I can't do that," Carlos replied.
"Carlos, you better get back with Caroline again. She loves you. I'm sure you'll be happy with that woman," Bella said.
"I said no, is no!" Carlos snapped.
Bella was shocked to hear Carlos' words.
Bella was a little annoyed, it was clear from the look on her face.
Carlos realized that and he felt not good for Bella.
He snapped at the innocent by reflex.
"Bella, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to yell at you. I was... just being emotional," Carlos said.
"Ah, well I understand. I can understand!" Bella said as she left Carlos.

Meanwhile, Felix invites Alice to go to his new apartment.
Felix has just moved out of his aunt's house.
And Felix also wants to start his new business.
"What do you think? Is my apartment comfortable?" Felix asked.
"Umm ... quite comfortable," answered Alice.
"Oh yes, Alice! Tomorrow my ice cream shop will open," said Felix.
"Wow... I'm glad to hear that. I hope your endeavors will be successful!" said Alice excitedly.
"Of course, Alice. I hope so too. This is the result of my savings over the years, and I used my money to open this business," Felix said with a proud smile.
"I'm sure your business will grow rapidly. Because your ice cream is delicious! I tried it that time!" said Alice, smiling in amazement.
"Haha! That's a recipe from my mother's family," said Felix.
"Yeah, and the taste is unique. I'm sure people will love it!"
"Yes hopefully."
Then they sat down on the sofa, and Felix made Alice a hot drink.
Then he put the drink on the table and sat down next to Alice.
I don't know why it was suddenly quiet. Alice started the conversation.
"Felix, thank you," said Alice.
"Thanks for what? For the drink?" Felix asked innocently.
"For everything, including this drink," Alice answered.
Then Alice took Felix's hand.
"Felix, do you still like me?" Alice asked.
Felix suddenly looked nervous.
"Why do you ask that?"
"Yeah, I just wanted to make sure. I'm not a perfect woman, I'm sure your feelings have faded too. But your kind attitude makes me doubt my hunch," Alice replied.
"I... still love you. And for an indefinite time. Maybe forever." Felix said, but his face was down. He didn't know what surprise Alice would give him.
Felix hoped that there would be encouraging words. But he was also afraid that in the end, Alice would just tell him to give up.
"Felix, I want you to rethink your feelings for me. Honestly, I'm starting to like you. But I'm afraid I can't make you happy, and instead, it will be a burden for you," concluded Alice.
Felix immediately raised his head.
"Alice, why do you say that? I never considered you a burden! And earlier...." Felix's eyes narrowed at Alice.
"You said 'starting to like me?'"
"Is it true?!" Felix looked excited to himself, and he gripped Alice's shoulders tightly.
"Felix, can you let go of my shoulder? It's a little... hurts..." Alice said quietly.
And immediately Felix removed his hand from Alice's shoulder.
"Sorry...." he said.
Alice continued her words to Felix. About all the feelings she's been keeping.
"Felix, I do love you. And it's true. But I'm afraid this isn't good. Because you deserve a much more perfect woman than me," Alice said.
"If you think you don't deserve me, then why are you saying that you like me?" Felix asked back.
Alice sighed for a moment, and she spoke with her face lowered. "Because I just wanted to express how I feel. It doesn't matter if you end up leaving me. I'm ready!" Alice answered.
"Then I'm also ready to accept all your flaws, Alice!" Felix said.
Alice fixed her gaze on Felix.
"It means?"
"Alice! Come on, admit me as your lover! And forget the bad feelings about you!" Felix said.
"But—" Felix cut Alice off.
"I love you! And I never thought of you as a woman full of flaws! Quite the opposite! I think of you as a perfect woman! If we love each other, then why don't we just date?" Felix said.
Alice could only silently respond to Felix's words.
"Alice, I promise to make you happy. And I will never leave you, let alone cheat like Carlos. I promise!" Felix firmly reassured Alice.
"Felix... but now I've become a strange woman. I can't tell the difference between dreams, hallucinations, and the real world. What if I go crazy? Do you still want to live with a crazy woman like me?" Alice asked with a pitiful face.
"You're not crazy! You're just depressed! And I'll stay with you until you get better!" Felix replied.
Alice smiled at the man's words, but her eyes were misty.
Felix was a good guy to Alice.
Felix is not a rich man like Carlos, but Felix is a simple man who especially loves Alice.
Alice is increasingly convinced to accept Felix as her lover.
She also believes that Felix is a good person, which will not let her down.
'Bella is right if I too have the right to be happy. Where else can I find a man as good as Felix,' Alice thought to herself.
"Felix, I want to be your lover. And I also want to be a woman who will accompany you. I am ready if you want to marry me whenever you want. I am ready to serve by being your wife." said Alice.
"You mean it, Alice?!" Felix asked to make sure his heart.
Alice nodded her head in response.
"Did you accept me out of pity?" Felix asked. He was still not satisfied with Alice's head nod.
But Alice reassured Felix with her answer this time.
"Felix, I didn't accept you out of pity. I told you, didn't I, if I started to like you. Besides... there's no reason for me to turn you down anymore. You're my best friend. And I think best friends are perfect as a couple. That means you will still be with me no matter what happens. And I'm sure you will always be faithful to be my partner, just like you who have always been loyal to be my best friend all this time!" Alice insisted.
Of course, Felix's heart fluttered hearing Alice's statement.
Finally what he had dreamed of came true.
The feeling that had only been clapping, on one hand, was finally reciprocated.
Felix gripped Alice's hand tightly and looked deeply into Alice's eyes.
He started to bring his face to Alice's face.
Felix closed his eyes, and they started kissing.
