"Unlocked?"
Alice was curious about what was going on in this house, Sea usually always locked the door, and it seemed strange today that Sea didn't turn on the house lights either.
"Did something happen?" Alice started to worry about Sea. And she went even deeper, she heard someone humming, coincidentally the cellar door was also unlocked.
Alice glanced and found Sea walking up the stairs, in the dark and not knowing what she was doing there.
Alice immediately ran out, she closed the door again.
"I can't linger here, I have to go," Alice muttered.
She didn't want to fight again with Sea.
Although Alice was still very curious.
"Ah I really don't know what Sea is doing inside, but I can't investigate further either," She muttered as she walked to the nearest food stall.
"Alice!" someone shouted from a distance.
"Hey, Felix!"
"Where are you going?" Felix asked.
"I'm going to find dinner!" Alice answered.
Felix walked over to her.
"I happen to have 2 free meal vouchers at the restaurant down the road, you want?"
"Is that true?"
"Yeah, how? Would you like to eat with me, Alice?"
"Of course!" Alice immediately grabbed Felix's hand excitedly.
At the restaurant, Alice tells about the incident at Sea's house. Moreover, the strangeness that appeared in the house, because the atmosphere was so dark, as if no one was there, even though in the room there was Sea who was humming and I don't know what she was doing there.
"Alice, why don't you hang in there? You should hide and see what Sea does inside," Felix said.
"I dare not, Felix, I am afraid that Sea will find out and she will be angry with me," Alice said with a slight bow.
"Ah, you always involve your heart, you should be more vigilant if you suspect Sea, is a murderer! Instead of thinking that Sea will be angry with you!" said Felix.
"But I'm still not sure, Felix, whether Sea was a murderer," said Alice.
"Ah, forget it, let's hurry up and eat!" Felix said.
"Ah, all right," Alice replied.
Alice seemed to like the food she ordered, while Felix just looked at her with a smile, he didn't even eat his food. He stabbed his fork into the piece of meat he hadn't had a chance to touch, then placed it on Alice's plate.
"Let's finish quickly," said Felix
"Felix, why did you put your meat on my plate?" Alice asked.
"Just eat already!"
"But you haven't eaten yet, have you?"
"I'm still full, Alice, actually I've eaten,"
"But-"
"Let's spend it!" Felix said.
Instead of finishing the food immediately, Alice fell silent with teary eyes.
"Alice, what are you doing?" Felix looks panicked, he holds Alice's face.
"Are you crying?" The man wiped the tears from Alice's face.
"Felix, why are you being so nice to me?" Alice asked.
"What are you talking about? Of course, I'm good to you, you're my best friend?" Felix said.
Alice lowered her head while wiping her tears.
"You know, Felix. Sometimes I feel burdened by your kindness. You're the only person who's always been there for me, how can I repay you?" Alice asked.
"Hey Alice, why are you even talking about reciprocity? Shouldn't friends help each other out?" Felix narrowed his eyes.
"Not really, Felix! The proof is that Carol betrayed me! And you know that right? If we are true friends who can never be separated, but Carol doesn't care about my feelings at all? Then why are you nice to me, Felix?" Alice concluded.
Felix shook his head with a surprised face, why did Alice speak like this?
Seeing Alice cry made Felix even more regretful.
It's not fitting for a beautiful, kind, and hardworking woman like Alice to be betrayed, either by her ex-husband or her best friend.
"Alice, don't compare me to Carol, I sincerely love you, and I do good to you, also because I want to repay you. You used to help me a lot too, even when I had problems with my family. You... Alice, the only person who always encourages me, and you are always there for me until finally my family and I can make peace until now," said Felix. The man grabbed Alice's shoulder.
"I learned a lot from your sincerity, Alice. And I'm also proud to be your friend, I also hope that we can always be together, and can complement each other for all our shortcomings," concluded Felix.
Alice was silent for a moment, the blonde hair woman smiled.
"Thank you, Felix," Alice hugged him.
One valuable lesson she learned today.
That is about sincerity.
Not always sincerity will get a betrayal like the one she experienced.
Because often sincerity will get the same reply, even a reply that is much more sincere than what she has ever done.
Felix is the best friend she has ever met in this world.
'If only Carlos was as good as, Felix, surely my home life wouldn't be this ruined,' Alice said to herself.

Meanwhile, at Oxford Carlos is with Caroline.
They were inside Carlos' painting gallery.
"Honey, why are you looking so gloomy lately?" asked Caroline.
"I'm missed, Alice," Carlos answered honestly.
Immediately, Carol narrowed her eyes.
"Why are you still thinking about your ex-wife? Is my presence here still not enough, Carlos?"
"It's not a matter of enough or not, Carol. But it's a matter of feelings. I miss her because I've lived with her for 10 years. I miss when she hugs me, when she prepares breakfast for me, even I miss her smile," said Carlos with the blank view.
Of course, it made Caroline feel very upset as if her presence meant nothing to Carlos.
"What else do you want from Alice? I'll do it for you, Carlos!?" challenged Caroline. The woman held Carlos' face with both hands.
"You miss when she makes you breakfast? I can do it for you too, Carlos! And you miss her smile too? I can smile for you too, Carlos! It's even cuter than her smile! What do you want from me? I can take place, Alice, for you!" Caroline slowly removed her hand from Carlos' face.
"I would do anything for you, Carlos! Even I was willing to give up my whole life for you, but I beg you, Carlos, please forget, Alice...." Caroline pleaded with a pitiful face.
