Stanhope picked up Grace and headed home.

Seeing Grace in Stanhope's arms, Christopher quickly opened the door and asked, "Is she having a fever?"

"Call the family doctor!" said Stanhope as he hurried upstairs with Grace in his arms.

"Yes!" Christopher nodded.

Stanhope covered Grace with a thin blanket, filled a basin with water and ice cubes, and put an ice-cold towel on her forehead.

Grace hummed uncomfortably as if she felt uneasy.

Stanhope sat by the bed, wiping Grace's palms and soles with medical alcohol.

How did she get a fever?

As far as Stanhope knew… during the past year, Grace had been working hard on her physical fitness. She hardly ever got sick. The worst was just a mere cold, which went away without medication.

Why did she get a fever as soon as she came back?
