Kapitel 44: Forty-Four

Charlie watched shell shocked as Ash’s blood flowed to the rocky ground of the cliff. The image burning in his mind making his eyes water.

Vincent was at his side mouth agape. He stared at Charlie in sympathy, but his eyes widened when he saw the rage on his brother’s face.

Charlie was seething as he felt something in him shift. It felt familiar and primal. He was still in his wolf form, but something was changing. He began to stand upright, becoming taller his paws becoming longer until they were fur and flesh covered hands with sharp black claws.

Vincent stared up at him amazed. “Hybrid form?” He murmured.

Charlie, now an anthropomorphic wolf, jumped down from the cliff and rose hell in the camp. Vincent stood and watched as Charlie tore through witches and warlocks as they tried to attack him. He made it to Ash’s limp body and used his claws to slash the vines still holding her down. Charlie stuck his head up and howled in sorrow.
