Delia definitely did not understand Simon Clark. The surprising part was that she wanted to. She had thought she had given up on frivolous dreams of romance because her career was more important.
There was nothing that said she couldn't have both though. A nice, handsome, funny guy was into her. She had nothing to lose.
He was an odd one, to be sure, but oddness was really a matter of opinion. There were people who thought she was odd too because she was obsessed with fashion, "high maintenance", and accidentally spoke her mind too often.
It was worth at least giving him a shot. She did enjoy talking to him. She wouldn't mind continuing to go out and trying to get to know him better so at the end of the night, she said they should do this again sometime and he immediately asked her out again for the day after tomorrow because he had already promised to make his cousin chicken cutlets.
