Kapitel 423: A Much Better Husband

Sylvie still didn't know what she was supposed to think or feel as time went on and she got used to her new normal. Drake's actions weren't any easier to fathom. 

He baked with her whenever he was home and she was working on something, had become a more insightful taste tester with practice, and took her out on dates more often. They went to the movies (at a different theater than the one where they ran into Jared and Savannah) and out to dinner at least once a week. On bike rides too if the weather was nice. 

Once he got a bit steadier on his bike, he bought a bike rack for the car and they took their bikes to a specific bike trail that she had mentioned before. She used to go there a lot in high school when she needed to get away from her stepmother for a while. 

He definitely liked spending time with her…but she was beginning to suspect there was more to it than that. After all, he had called her cute out of nowhere when she had frosting on her face.
