Kapitel 285: It's My Fault

Venethan could bleed. The spell that would make him mortal had worked!

So close. Ian was SO CLOSE to killing him. 

Finding out he could bleed made him all the more frenzied. He was a raging inferno and Ian felt his skin blistering as they fought. That wasn't supposed to happen. He had been unable to get hurt all this time. 

Was he mortal now too? Did he not even have to wait for his and Azariel's child to be born? Had conceiving it artificially been enough to end his curse? 

Oh, why hadn't he guessed that sooner?! The one time he actually needed to be immortal and he wasn't!

Venethan was fighting back as hard as he possibly could. Kael was getting burned too and had to bow out after a particularly bad one to his arm since he was having difficulty moving it.
