Isaac supposed it did. There was nothing he wouldn't have done to protect his family, including facing his fear.
It felt nice to have his efforts appreciated. That wasn't something that happened terribly often throughout his life though it had been more frequent since Whitney became a more active part of it.
She appreciated him more than anyone else ever had. Though he couldn't help but wonder if that was part of her feeling like she owed him for saving her life.
"Whitney…um…it doesn't really matter but…do you only love me because I saved you?" Isaac couldn't help but ask.
Whitney pulled back yet again and had a look of great offense on her face. "Of course not!"
"Sorry. I had to ask."
She squished his face between her hands, deadly serious. "I'll admit, I was originally curious about you because you said you loved me and I really needed to feel loved. But I wouldn't have stayed if I didn't develop real feelings for you.
That's all, folks! Next up is My Life As A Reincarnated Fairy Queen :)
