Kapitel 37: [Chapter:36][Miraculous jelly beans, I mean pills]

{Grandpa, come with me for a moment.}

Al looked at the accompanying guard from the Spirit Hall, who Ella had already confirmed to be the one he thought she was, before speaking with Old Jack telepathically.

'Although there isn't too much danger…it's always good to be careful.'

"You guys, find a hotel and book enough rooms for all of us. I will go to buy some necessities for the journey."

Old Jack spoke as he turned around, and Al quickly said, "Wait, grandpa! I'll come too."

Tang San blinked in confusion as he knew his brother Al pretty much had everything one could possibly need in his Second Spirit, but figured there was something important the two had to do and concealed his doubts.

As for the others…they were either too busy introducing themselves or simply didn't think too much.

{Righ, little San, find a chance to split away and come to ****** in a few minutes.}

Tang San paused as he heard the instructions conveyed telepathically, then waited for a few seconds before he excused himself.

. . . . . .

. . . . . .

"[For Utopia]"

A ripple of space engulfed Al, Tang San, and Old Jack, as they soon disappeared from their position in a dark, remote alley. When their vision cleared up, they found themselves in a dark space.

"Hmm? Brother Al, did this place change?"

Tang San blinked in confusion as he looked around and at himself.

The last time he had entered Eden, after all, there was merely a single moon-like mound of earth and dirt, providing barely enough gravity to hold an atmosphere together. In fact, even that atmosphere was maintained through usage of vast amounts of Spirit Power, keeping it from being sucked away by the vacuum of outer space.

Now, however…

"This is…wood? No…vines?"

Old Jack widened his eyes in surprise as he touched the ground they were standing on, and recognised the texture.

"Carrots…dear God! These are gigantic Carrot vines!"

"Bingo~!", Al chuckled, "As expected of an old farmer, you recognised it instantly. This part of the planet is made entirely of carrots."

After three months, obviously, Al had made several major changes to Eden…

After all, what kind of Garden would only have three or four herbs?

"Xiao Wu has been pestering me for carrots ever since I accidentally brought one grown and enriched with my {Life Scribe}, so I made this place instead. Although the quality is less since I'm not personally attending to each Carrot, they are still infused with enough Life Force and Vitality to extend a couple years of life and even make one advance in cultivation."

Tang San's eyes widened in disbelief.

"B…brother Al…could it be…"

His eyes were affixed to what appeared to be a gigantic 'forest', with 'trees' reaching far into the sky and canopies spreading large enough to support entire villages on their branches…

"Yup, those are all the herbs you gave me. After three months of pumping horrendous amounts of Life Force into each of them, the smallest and rarest herb you gave me made a tiny forest of a couple million trees and plants with the smallest herb ready for harvest being around the same size as you."

His jaw nearly dropped off his face as Old Jack looked around and sighed.

"Really…you outdid yourself, Al'er."

"Please don't call me that, Grandpa.", Al felt his lips twitch as he heard his nickname which he extremely disliked, "It sounds like you're calling me allergies."

Old Jack had a question mark on his face. Allergies weren't really well known in a world where even the sick look healthier than most people from ordinary worlds.

Then again, there were some terrifying illnesses in this world too…

"Anyway, I didn't bring you here to show off."

Just as Al's words ended, someone couldn't stop herself anymore, and a beautiful phantom appeared next to him, her eyes fixed towards Tang San's figure.

"!?"

"…"

Tang San's eyes widened as the two stared at each other in silence, and Al and Old Jack considerately walked away.

"So why did you bring me here, little Al?"

Al looked at his grandpa and smiled.

"First, to give you back your youth."

"???"

Old Jack blinked in confusion as Al gave him three pills.

"The first will extend your life by a couple decades. The materials of the pills aren't good enough to hold many {Scribes}, unfortunately. Well, you can always pop a couple mouthfuls whenever you feel like it."

"…"

Old Jack felt his lips twitch as he looked at where Al pointed, catching sight of what appeared to be a room packed full with god knows how many tens of thousands of pills.

"My arms nearly fell off making all those {Scribes} you know? Now I'm even confident I can make hundreds of pills in my sleep."

Al sighed at his misfortune, as Old Jack popped the first pill into his mouth.

"Melon flavoured?"

"Yup. To handle the {Scribes} the pills need to be made of either precious metal, which I'm sure no one would like to eat, or fruits and vegetables grown here with loads of Life Force pumped into them every second."

Old Jack nodded as he felt…better? More energetic?

It was a hard thing to describe, gaining more Life Force, which Al understood as he had also increased his life span by several centuries over the past few days.

"The second pill will heal all your old and hidden injuries, if you have any. The third will shower your body wil Life Force, making the outside just as young as the inside."

Old Jack looked at the two pills, before tossing the third one back to Al.

"I've been called Old Jack for so long, it would be really weird if I suddenly gain a youthful look."

Al shrugged as Old Jack consumed the second pill, instantly feeling better as unexpectedly, he even felt his Spirit Power strengthen a little more.

"Now then, it's time to do what I brought you here for."

Al smiled as he looked at his adorable little daughter, who had been patiently waiting for him while yawning cutely every now and then.

"Ai, can you help me make Grandpa a Soul Ring?"

"Yaaaawn?"

Ai tilted her head mid-yawn as Al grinned.

"Since we encountered our first Titled Douluo, it's time for you to make a couple breakthroughs, Grandpa."
