Kapitel 61: Chapter 60

It was a slightly chilly yet serene night. However, the peace and quiet Jace was indulging in while he was slumbering was interrupted by the loud ringing of his phone.

With a face scrunching because of annoyance, he got up from his bed despite the heavy force pulling him back to sleep. He reached for his phone on his study table right by his bed. 

It was J.B. calling. He checked the time first before answering the phone. It was probably a wrong decision since it just made him grumpier by the minute as he realized how late it was for someone to call at that hour.

He let out a groan as he tapped the answer button. It was a first for J.B. to call him this late, so he figured it must be for something important.

"Mmm, hello?" he answered the call, half-awake.

[Hello, bro] J.B. greeted from the other line.

"Jesus. Do you have any idea what it is now? For goodness' sake, it's 1 AM," Jace grumbled.
