Kapitel 25: PIGGYBACK RIDE

Lin Zhu felt like he was under a mysterious spell after hearing the sensual whisper from Ye Quan. Was it really a sensual whisper or was it just his dirty mind?

The young athlete had no idea what had happened to him, and he could only stare at Ye Quan, who was still standing so close to him. The strange smell still tickled his nose, and it made him feel even stranger.

With that kind of smell grazing his nose, perhaps it was normal for him to see another meaning behind the words 'sleep together.'

But, Lin Zhu hurriedly brushed off his strange thoughts before pushing Ye Quan's shoulders a little bit harshly. He just couldn't think straight because of the weird odor on Ye Quan's body, and it was unmistakably not because he was such a pervert.

"Stop teasing me," Lin Zhu whispered tiredly.

He started to feel tired and sleepy, and all he wanted to do was sleep on top of the soft mattress.

"Who was teasing you?" Ye Quan asked while tilting his head. "We will just rest together on the bed. Did you have any dirty thoughts in your mind?"

Lin Zhu blinked his eyes as he felt his face grow warmer. Ye Quan was such a tease!

The taller man suddenly smiled at him, and he subconsciously took his eyes off the other man. Since when did he start to feel uncomfortable under that gaze?

It wasn't an uncomfortable feeling, but it was an indescribable feeling. Lin Zhu didn't know how to describe his feelings. He just felt nervous and lost under those gazes.

"I don't have the room card with me," the shorter one finally answered without looking at the other man.

Ye Quan furrowed his eyebrows as his face displayed a confused expression. "What do you mean you don't have the room card with you?"

Lin Zhu sighed heavily as he bit his lips. Ye Quan would surely snap at him after learning the truth.

"I was in hurry earlier and didn't realize that I left the room card in the room. The door automatically locked itself afterward."

Lin Zhu readied himself to hear the older man's shout or snap, but after waiting for a few seconds, he heard nothing.

Feeling that something was not right, he finally dared himself to look up. And he was stunned when he found Ye Quan looking at him intently.

What the hell was wrong with the ugly toad? Lin Zhu quickly drew his gaze away again as he felt his heart thumping loudly. What the hell was wrong with him?

"Why were you in a hurry earlier? You didn't even remember to wear any footwear," Ye Quan questioned him instead of snapping at him.

Lin Zhu was nervous once again as he gripped his phone tightly as if his life depended on the phone. How should he answer the older man's question?

"I just wanted to meet Coach Cheng to discuss something."

That was the only excuse that he could think of at the moment. He wasn't even sure if Ye Quan would buy his excuse.

"You wanted to meet Coach Cheng at this hour?" Ye Quan asked another question "Don't you think it's inappropriate? You can meet him tomorrow and just let him rest tonight."

Lin Zhu was a bit surprised by the fact that Ye Quan didn't even think about the room card matter. And it seemed that the man believed his excuse and didn't look suspicious.

"I know it's inappropriate, so I will cancel my plan. I'll just sleep now and will meet him tomorrow."

Ye Quan frowned at him in silence, and Lin Zhu was a bit nervous. Did Ye Quan finally realize that he was lying?

Lin Zhu waited for Ye Quan's response for a moment, then he suddenly heard the man sighing heavily.

"You want to sleep now, but we can't even enter the room. What do you want to do now? Maybe you can sleep in the hallway?"

The hazel eyes enlarged upon hearing Ye Quan's words. He brought his eyes to the hallway and observed the open space. The hallway was quite dim, and the marble floor was exposed without a carpet covering it. His body shivered when he imagined how cold it would be if he really slept on the floor.

If he chose that alternative, then he might get a cold tomorrow. He should maintain his health, so he couldn't take any risks. He had to find another option for his own sake.

"I'll try to knock on other athletes' doors then. Maybe they will let me sleep with them tonight."

Ye Quan widened his eyes. "Are you stupid?" He asked the shorter athlete in a rather harsh voice. "That's not the only option available, but you chose to knock on other people's doors?"

"That's a better option than to sleep in the hallway," Lin Zhu finally dared himself to look at the other man and glared at him bravely.

Ye Quan sighed heavily again as he rubbed his face roughly. "You're indeed so stupid."

Lin Zhu glared even more upon hearing Ye Quan's mocking.

"We can go to the receptionist's desk to ask for another room card. Do you think this hotel only has one room card for each room? It's Coach Cheng who tricked us by giving us only one room card. You should use your brain once in a while," Ye Quan openly mocked his stupidity.

Lin Zhu was offended by the insult, and his face turned crimson again. This time it wasn't caused by embarrassment but caused by his anger. "Go to the receptionist's desk and ask for another room card then!" He annoyedly yelled.

Ye Quan chuckled before replying, "We'll use the room together, so we better go ask for the room card together."

The shorter man pursed his lips before crossing his arms across his chest. "Can't you see that I don't wear any footwear now? I don't want to dirt my feet!"

Ye Quan glanced at Lin Zhu's bare feet for a moment before looking up at the shorter man. The taller athlete smiled at Lin Zhu mysteriously before saying, "Do you want me to give you a piggyback ride to the receptionist's desk?"
