"He must love me like salt," Evelyn replied.
Elric gave her a blank stare. He was perplexed by her response. He had no idea what she meant when she said, "He must love me like salt." He had heard men being related to coconut, hard from outside, soft from inside. Even being referred to as an onion, he found it reasonable, as different layers of onion imply different hidden characteristics of a man.
Being referred to as salt was the first he had heard. This piqued his curiosity to an extent. "What do you mean by this? What's wrong with too much love?" He asked.
"For me, possessiveness makes me feel suffocative. Too much love can make one suffocate in a relationship. Little fights and teasings are needed as that how we express our love to each other. That's what I feel," she explained.
"Our love?" Elric asked her intimidatingly again.
She at first couldn't comprehend what he said. But her eyes widened as she realised saying 'our love'.
