***ADDIE'S POV***

"Addie, what do you mean by that?" Callum finally asked me. "How is Ginger alive, well, and not sick, if she had the Burning Sleep? That is impossible. There has been no survivors of that disease. Once someone is infected, it is as good as a death sentence."

"Well, it used to be that way." I gave half a smile at his words. "Now, someone has survived. And that isn't all."

"What else could there be?" Callum asked, shock tainting his tone. "I mean, what more could have happened, other than a mysterious healing of a fatal disease? I mean, are you sure that she even had the Burning Sleep? Could it be that someone made a mistake? Could she have been misdiagnosed?"

I understood his apprehension to believe the situation as it was presented to him. It was a miracle, plain and simple. And no one would believe it, if there hadn't been witnesses there to tell them what was going on. Most people wouldn't just believe this as fact.
