**GINGER'S POV**

I had hoped that I would be in the position that I was in now, but I never actually thought that it would happen. I was a personal attendant to the Princess. The adopted sister to the King. I had come to work here because I knew that I was good at what I did, but most people didn't like to work with me. I was not able to speak at all, and that made a lot of them uncomfortable. Even my own family didn't like being around me.

I was well suited for being an attendant though. Most often, masters and mistresses wanted their attendants to work silently. They didn't like to talk to them. And I thought that would be even more the case for the Princess. I also thought that if I worked at the palace, I wouldn't be mistreated as much as I had been in the past. I was not at all expecting what greeted me when I arrived here.
