"Hahh." Callum sighed as he threw himself into his chair at the desk. "That was unexpectedly stressful."

"Well, at least it's done now. Hahh." I sighed as well as I sank into the chair opposite of him. "It was unexpected for me as well. He was at the gate when Addie and I were coming back. He called out to her and tried to tell the guard that she shouldn't be getting priority over him. He even said that Briar wasn't supposed to be getting that treatment too."

"Briar?" Callum sat up a little straighter and asked with curiosity in his voice.

"Yes, Briar is Addie's old teacher. He is a werewolf, and he was living in the village that she grew up in."

"A wolf living out there? What was he doing there?" Callum looked genuinely curious.
