Kapitel 85: Mana Control

Uncle Dominic wanted me to get right back to work. Was he crazy? He wanted me to just move on and be happy with learning how to control my mana. Did he even know what that was like for me right now? Was he just so used to the horrors of the world that it didn't affect him anymore?

"I can see what you're thinking." He was looking at me and spoke softly. "Just remember Addie, you have been alive for eighteen years and nothing bad has happened in the world. There have been no mana monsters that have haunted you or the village you grew up in. That alone should tell you that you do not have that much to worry about. You are safe, your family is safe. And I am not crazy for wanting to move on."

I gasped and jumped a little with what he said. It had startled me that he had basically gotten what I had thought perfectly.

"Did you read my mind?" I asked him, afraid that even my thoughts weren't safe.
