When they left the store the manager was smiling from ear to ear thinking of his fat commission at the end of the month. 

When they got inside the car Qie Xieling tried to put on his dangling earring but his piercing was probably closed at the back. 

He had begged his father to get his ears pierced when he was thirteen and after weeks of graveling, he finally agreed. Qie Xieling went with his nana to get his piercing but the pain from the first ear made him cry so much that he didn't want to do it again. The result thereof was him having one ear pierced but he rarely wore any earrings. 

"I think it closed," he murmured and Qie Ranzhe moved closer before saying,

"Let me see," before taking the earring from him. He tried to put it on for him but it wasn't going through to the other side. "It's closed. Let's go get your ears re-pierced." Qie Xieling absolutely wanted to get his ears pierced again so he nodded his head.
