The day at his office felt weird. After the whole issue with the werewolves, I never imagined that I would be able to return there. Everything was normal except for the fact that I remained in the same space Oscar was. I had to sit in his office all day. Tabitha kept coming to check on Oscar. She looked contemptuous every time she saw me on the couch, minding my business. The woman was trying too damn hard to get Oscar's attention. He knew but wasn't willing to give her the attention she sought, and she refused to take the hint.

" Is she going to sit here all day?" Tabitha finally asked.

Oscar looked at me and then looked at her.

" Are you going to keep barging into my office all day?" He asked her, and she was silent. I bet she didn't see that coming.

Maybe she thought Oscar was so hooked he would do anything for her. News flash, did she ever check the meaning of player?

" I came for our usual meeting," she said to him, and he dropped the pen.
