Hey, Shun here!
Ever since I was young, I've always hated losing. I don't know why but I just felt so horrible every time I lose.
Thus, as I grew up, I promised to myself that I'm not gonna lose again. Even if I were to lose, I'm gonna make it difficult for the opposition to win easily.
There's no way I'm gonna give someone an easy W. Over my dead body.

(Third Person's POV)
Nearby Shun's own fields, a girl with silky black hair that goes past her waist and pinkish red eyes could be seen sitting down at a tree log while tinkering on what seems to be bottles of potions.
"Hmm… I wonder what I should do with these Potions. These are no longer effective on Syun-chan while Maple-chan and the others are approaching that level…"
She's currently experimenting on different things, thinking of what she could do to make a new type of potion. Also, she's been helping Shun polish and color some stones using the polishing skill of her [Smithing] Sense.
Due to the numerous materials that Shun gave her, she didn't really have difficulty leveling up her crafting Senses. She borrowed a good 45,000G from Shun so that she could also buy a portable furnace set.
She also got the ores that she use to train her [Smithing] Sense from Shun. She owes so many dept on Shun at the moment so she wants to think up of a way so that she could be of help to him and of course her friends in this game.
When she got the Sense Points, she took [Alchemy] and [Synthesis] because she wanted to see what the difference is between a potion made by [Alchemy], [Mixing], and [Synthesis]. In her experiment, she found out that potions made through [Alchemy] is actually 10% more effective.
Potions made by [Synthesis] is also better than those made automatically through [Mixing]. However, when she tried doing it by herself, she managed to make a potion with the same efficacy as the potion made by [Synthesis].
"Should I try using this jelly thing? Maa! Let's do it!" She's the type of person to go through with her thoughts.
She then began her [Mixing] research for the first time in a while.
First, she tried boiling Blue Jelly in an iron container. The precipitation separated the blue mush into a solid mass and water. The solid further changed into a powder as the water disappeared.
It's name was now [Blue Powder].
"Ohhh! Interesting. What does this do? Would it change if I add water?"
And she did. When she added water to it, it turned back into Blue Jelly.
"What's up with this? It changed back?"
She didn't give up and just immediately mixed this Blue Jelly with Herbs. Like, why not? It's better if you try the most obvious combination, right?
When she tried that mixture , what came out of it was a Blue Potion.
"Hmm? Is it as effective as a synthetic Potion?"
You think it would be? But that's wrong.
The Potion's effectiveness was different. When she tried to mix Blue Powder with Dried Herbs, there was an extract which looked like coffee, it's effect is increased.
Drying Herbs does increase its effectiveness.
When she tried it with Fine Herb, it's effect increased even more with the help of it. Since the recovery amount was large, this made Mutsuko really happy.
"Yosh! This counts as a success I guess? But, why don't I try more if I could see more combinations on this one? Maybe it'll increase its effectiveness even more?"
There wasn't many of them right now, but she still tried experimenting with [Synthesis]. What came out of it was something she didn't expect.
"Eh? Ehhh!? Why did it turn out like this?"
What came out of [Synthesis] was Blue Gelatin. Moreover, it's description suggested it was a food item.
"I DON'T GET ITTTTTT—!! So weird~!"
From a material she made a medicine, and in the end it ended up as food. Just how chaotic is this?
Mutsuko's shoulders rose and lowered as she took heavy breaths. It took some time before she could calm herself down.
"Yeah. It's alright now. Let's just put this in the inventory."
Stowing away the Blue Gelatin, Mutsuko took out another batch of Blue Jelly. She want to make another experiment.
Turning it into powder, she mixed it a little to extract. Mutsuko used an enchant for stability since it unexpectedly required brute strength.
Her [Physical Attack Increase] doesn't increase her STR that much since she isn't really going out that much to train. It's at a low level so it didn't make any difference.
While she is doing that, she called Shun through the game's voice call.
"Hello? Syun-chan?"
『Yep, it's Syun. What's wrong Mutsuko-san? Is there something you need?』
"Ah, no! I just want to tell you that I discovered something amazing! Also, you could now enchant the stones I made and colored. After that, we can bring them to Magi-san's shop…"
『Thanks a bunch Mutsuko-san! You're really a life saver. I've been really busy hunting these days so I didn't have time to do that. I'll be there in a while!』
"Okay~. I'll wait here near your field."
『Got it.』

(Shun's POV)
After killing the Blade Lizard, I didn't really get any notable items. I guess its scales, claws and such would cost a lot if I sell them to Magi-san.
"So Mutsuko-san discovered something good, huh. It's really worth it letting them do what they like. I better start earning more gold so that I could pay her for all the potions she made for us…"
I just received a call from Mutsuko-san and she asked me if I could go to the southern district. Since I just finished my battle with the boss mob, it couldn't be a better time for her to call.
"Since I'm already here, I'll go register the teleportation location of Second Town before going back to Agann through it…"
It looks like Mutsuko-san discovered something great so I better hurry.
With [Swift Legs] doing a great job, I sprinted towards the Second Town while ignoring all of the monsters. There's no need to fight them, it'll just be extra hassle.
After I left the forest, there were wide pastures and beautiful streams.
It was a rural town flooded with single-floored wooden buildings.
In a few places old people gathered and drank tea in the sun, in other some children were running around. Even I who's in a hurry couldn't help but stop for a moment to appreciate this scene.
"...It's a peaceful place."
This place seems to be dealing with cloth and leather, as well as wood. For a bow user like me, this is a great place to visit.
However, since the boss is too strong, only a few could probably beat him right now. This is probably why many people are in West right now.
After all, there are strong mobs in the west and the boss monster there look like it's gonna be the easiest to beat.
The management is really quite good. Since all mobs other than the boss are of a reasonable strength, players would tend to gather in this location.
However, if you have a strong boss, that will entice people to explore different locations. It's such a well thought out strategy to get players to explore the game more.
Ugh, I'm getting sidetracked again. Let's just go and register the teleportation location before going to Agann.
✽✽✽✽✽✽✽✽✽✽
It didn't take me long before I arrived at the southern district where my fields are. Should I buy all the ten fields I need to build a house or something?
I already managed to arrive to the Second Town after all.
"Hey, Mutsuko-san! So? What is it that you discovered."
"Well, you see, it's like this! I think this new discovery is gonna help you a lot!"
Mutsuko-san then began explaining her new discovery while I began enchanting the [Boost Marbles], making sure that the enchant matches the color of the stone.
The colors of it are yellow for SPEED, red for ATK, and blue for DEF. I saved the orange and purple [Boost Marbles] for us.
Those two are for INTELLIGENCE and MIND respectively. The former increases the player's magic attack while the latter increases magic defense.
After I made 50 of each colors, I stopped producing them and placed them in my inventory. All of these 150 [Power Marbles] will sell for about 9,000G each.
Meaning, I'll get 1,350,000G for selling them all. Add it to the fact that Magi-san, Lyly, and Cloude bought the information about how I made these for 2,000,000G, I'd say I am already a millionaire.
Turns out that the crafters that my sister, Myu, are friends with, are a group of top craftsmen. Since they are at the top, they're the ones who set the prices of goods.
They actually suggested to me that I should sell the [Power Marbles] in a reasonable price of 10,000G but I decided to lower that a bit. I'm not a money grubber, after all.
"Let's go to Magi-san?"
"Yeah! I want to brag about my discovery to her. It's been a day since I last saw her, after all."
Actually, I've been selling 150 [Boost Marbles] to Magi-san for five days already so my total earnings is actually 11,750,000G. I didn't actually expect my total amount of money to balloon into over 9 million in just a few days.
Magi-san is also thankful to us because, since the arrival of our Potions and [Boost Marbles] to her store, more players decided to buy her items. Ever since then, she asked us whether we could regularly bring these items to her store.
It took us longer than expected to arrive at the city of Agann. Mutsuko didn't have [Speed Increase] so I needed to match my pace with hers.
When we arrived, we walked through the crowded streets of the city as we made a beeline towards the shopping district. There, we saw a beautiful girl with a fiery red hair, golden brown eyes, and a healthy tanned skin.
As we approached her stall, she seemingly noticed us as she waved her hands at us two.
"Heeyy~. It's been a while, you two. You seems to be quite busy these past two days?"
"Well, Magi-san, listen to this! We're actually here to deliver the usual items and to bring you good news!" Mutsuko-san said with the same energy as the girl with tanned skin.
Yes, as Mutsuko-san said, this beautiful onee-san type of girl is Magi-san.
