Kapitel 16: Chapter 16

Amane, Chisato, and Altria finally arrived in front of the sword embedded into the stone.

"So, who will go first?" Amane asked. Secretly, he used his ability, "Trace-on," to read the story, construction, origin, and more things about the sword.

Chisato grinned mischievously as she stepped forward and put her hands on the hilt of the sword. She took a deep breath, getting ready to pull it with all her strength, but the sword didn't move.

"Aww, it's stuck," Chisato said, pretending to be disappointed. "I guess I'm not the chosen one."

'I almost pulled the sword; luckily, I remembered the story about King Arthur. If not, I wouldn't have a choice but to become a king,' Chisato thought as she sweatdropped, recalling the never-ending papers that Amane always had to sign every day.

Amane laughed, knowing what she was thinking, but didn't say anything.

"I'm next," Amane said, stepping forward and grabbing the hilt of the sword. He pulled the sword effortlessly, without breaking a sweat.

Many people looked at him with awe and shock, some even kneeling and offering their respect to the King. "Is that so," Amane said, looking at the sword that shook in his hand, as if it was communicating with him.

"Don't worry, I don't plan to steal you or claim you as my treasure. I'm just curious about you, so you don't have to worry," Amane said to the sword before inserting it back into the stone.

Many people were shocked that he seemed to be communicating with the sword, but they thought that a chosen one might have such abilities. What shocked them even more was Amane's decision to refuse becoming the King of Britain and leading it to glory.

Even Altria looked at him with awe and wonder, who he truly is.

Amane waved his hand at Altria, signaling her to come over. Altria looked at him questioningly and stepped forward. "What is it?" she asked as she approached him.

"It's your turn," Amane said with a smile. "Don't be shy, just because I pulled it doesn't mean I accepted it." He gave her a thumbs up and stood next to Chisato.

"Say, did the sword communicate with you?" Chisato asked, tilting her head.

"Yes," Amane replied, his voice was filled of surprise. "I'm surprised the sword had a will and told me it's not worthy to become my sword, so it asked me to be inserted back." The crowd looked astonished as they listened to Amane's words.

"And, I can tell that Altria would become the chosen one," Amane murmured, and only Chisato heard him.

"Why do you say that?" Chisato asked.

"She has a saber face," Amane answered.

"I see," Chisato nodded and whispered into his ear. "How about I cosplay that tonight?"

"Then do you want me to cosplay as a butler?" Amane teased with a playful smile.

Chisato licked her lips and nodded. "Yeah, I would enjoy it."

"Same goes for me," Amane replied.

As Altria stepped forward and nervously put her hand on the hilt of the sword, she pulled it out from the stone. She was shocked that she managed to do it, but what surprised her even more was that when she pulled the sword, it created a beautiful garden surrounding a pink flower.

The crowd looked around in awe at the sight, but the garden crumbled away like an illusion, breaking apart.

"Interesting~" Amane and Chisato said at the same time. The two of them felt their strength had doubled.

Altria lost her balance while holding the sword. Amane and Chisato immediately arrived next to her and supported her. "Caliburn, I accept your request. I will become her advisor, leading her to the path of happiness and victory," Amane said. He bit his finger and slowly constructed something using his blood on the Caliburn as a sign of respect to the newly born King.

'She would become a great asset after all,' Amane thought as he worked.

Due to his speed, no one noticed that he had created a divine construct on the Caliburn, making it stronger with its user, except for one person.

"Interesting, it looks like the prophecy I saw was true," a man in a white robe said as he vanished into thin air. "This is the start of the Kingdom of Victory."

Amane gazed in astonishment at the direction where the man in the white robe vanished. "Do you want me to follow him?" Chisato asked, also looking in the same direction.

"You don't need to," Amane replied, shaking his head.

"Do I really need to become a king?" Altria asked, looking nervous and wondering if she could truly become a king despite being a female.

"Don't forget that this man exists," Chisato said as she pointed at Amane.

"What do you mean by that?" Altria asked, tilting her head in confusion.

Amane paused for a moment and whispered into her ear, "What is your full name?"

Altria sighed as she answered, "Altria Pendragon, you can also call me Artoria."

Amane smirked, and a glowing light covered his whole body as his clothes transformed into noble-like attire. "I, Fujimiya Amane, swear in His name that the Kingdom of Hinomori will give its full support to the newly king candidate, Altria Pendragon."

The people cheered, knowing that the savior had finally arrived—the future of Britain was secured. No one objected because the Kingdom of Hinomori had become popular in Britain due to their generous assistance in the past. They sent tons of crops and aid, helping to construct buildings and improve agriculture throughout the Kingdom.

In the past few years, the citizens of Britain came to know that Hinomori was the best place for migration. This Kingdom warmly welcomed people from various other kingdoms, offering them work opportunities, permanent housing, and preventing them from starving.

It's no wonder that the people didn't have objections, but what surprised them the most was that the King of that kingdom was in front of them. It's no wonder that he refused to become the King of Britain when he was already the King of Hinomori.
