Elynea trembled in her place, haunted by memories of the humans who had once subjected her to daily beatings and abuse. Her gaze fixated on Dean, lying before her, and a surge of conflicting emotions overwhelmed her.

"Get away from him, you ungrateful monster!" Luna's words rang out, her eyes filled with a ferocity that threatened to tear Elynea's heart asunder. Overwhelmed by fear, Elynea crashed onto the bed, momentarily forgetting her own pain.
