Kapitel 7: Segment Seven, ‘Armored Cells’
'Dr. Wu's Pov'
The whirling blades of the chopper were flush in his ears, everything that had happened was extremely fresh on his mind. The great renowned scientist who made these creatures was now in a troubling situation yet again. He of course expected this from the start, deep down.
The military general was not about to let him leave, and clearly the beast he had made fascinated him. This man of power wanted to use the animal that he had made against others like a weapon.
Henry Wu, looked at the armored vehicle that held the dangerous animal inside by looking out of the helicopter. Wherever they were going, the vast amount of vehicles followed in the same direction or so he thought.
"That animal you made, I must say you outdid yourself?", smirked the general who was sitting across from him.
"Outdid myself?", repeated Henry as he kept up his poised professionalism. As his sides ached, he tried to remain calm. "In making something so dangerous, you say that I outdid myself?"
"Of course! Not only did it cause havoc but it escaped several times from that place or was about too?"
Hearing the general as he spoke, that brought a bitter cold down his back. Dr.Wu narrowed his eyes as he tried to hide his surprise. "You know?", he finally asked trying to understand where the general was coming from.
"I do, a few of my guys went on ahead and confiscated everything that went on in there. That as well as your paperwork and data."
Dr.Wu's eyes went extremely wide, "That is my work! You do not have the right to take that away from me!" His calmness dispersed as he glared sharply, for it was like his life was being threatened at this very moment.
The general crossed his arms and legs, his expression was rather calm yet smug as he stared at the scientist who was worked up now. "Well, I had to after all if you refuse to make more of those creatures then we will find someone else who can?"
Never had he felt so angry in his life, his goal to make money was against him from the start. That and he was again being forced to do something against his thoughts or wishes. By making more of those creatures that are like his creation, the more terror and death would be unleashed. She was a highly intelligent creature, who is aware of her abilities mentally and physically.
As crazy as it was, she could almost be on the line of being completely sentient. Though, she would be sentient in killing for she knew that she was a predator. At the top of her class.
To make matters worse, she would get a bit bigger which in turn would make her much smarter than she was. She would be an unstoppable force that no one could ever hope to bring down. By thinking this, he should of killed her off when he had the chance too.
Dr.Wu was fearful about the future now when it concerned his creation, for his work was dedicated in making creatures that no one thought that it was even possible. These creatures had instincts, and acted as animals much like they were. Cause that was what they were, animals though they came from dinosaur DNA that they found in amber. However, he had crossed many lines as already known.
Firstly, was the Indominus Rex for Claire and those working in the notorious theme park wanted more than just the normal typical animals. Bigger teeth, something that could defeat the Tyrannosaurus rex as well as the other common predators within the park and bring in more money. Fusion came to be a hot topic, and by fusing a T-rex and a Velociraptor with countless others did they accomplish this goal.
They made a new breed of dinosaur that was bigger and badder than anything else that they ever could hope to make. Well, until Indoraptor came along.
Indoraptor was the second thing that was made, but of course they didn't have the data that they needed in order to make the hybrid tame able. This was crucial, for future use but of course it was ruined at the last second for it was the Velociraptor DNA that they needed.
Both hybrids were failures so to say, and having nothing else to turn to he decided to work on his own to make a separate hybrid with a changed code. This in turn was a tedious process, though he was an expert in this type of work. Even he struggled with it.
Taking data from both hybrids along with his data that he saved as well as backed up. He accomplished this mission, and he did this while fusing both hybrids together along with vastly changing the data so that he wouldn't need Velociraptor DNA in order to tame this new version of Indoraptor.
Never in his wildest dreams that he thought that he would make a predator that was on the terms of that of a genius, so to speak. She would only get smarter the more she lived and learned more about herself and what she could do. He doubted that she could be tamed for she was smart, to smart. That and she viewed all humans as prey much like everything else that moved.
Again though, he was stuck in a situation that he didn't even want to be in. He even feared what the military would do with her since now they had her.
"You don't understand what she is capable of.", spoke Dr.Wu. "She is something that can not be told what to do. What I saw in that facility, was a creature who lives for killing and pain!"
Dr.Wu firmly glared at him while pointing backwards, "I also just witnessed her go after a man like a crazed psychotic serial killer!"
The general smiled, "That's what I like to hear! Imagine, we send her into enemy territory? She would kill everyone else that stands against us? We wouldn't even need to send in my men on the ground! Just send her in! Many will fear us!"
Dr.Wu scowled at the generals words, for he spoke so casually about this. Of course, the first Indoraptor was a example of what he could of been. He would of been a perfect weapon, but he was a prototype for he lacked that crucial DNA.
This one however was different, she wouldn't obey orders not from anyone.
"You can not tell her what to do. To her, we are prey. Something that could be played with and disposed of later.", was Dr.Wu's response. "You are out of your league general."
The general frowned before smirking big, "We will see about that?"
Henry Wu looked out the window of the military helicopter, their destination was within reach as the flying chopper slowly moved to land on a landing pad.
Following the general, he looked around the large and secure military base. His eyes shifted to the side only then to look around curiously for he was searching for the armored vehicle. Not seeing it anywhere made his heart stop in his chest.
"Where is she!?!", exclaimed Dr.Wu alarmed.
"Calm down. Just follow me.", replied the general as he walked in a specific direction with Dr.Wu right behind him.
'Sable's Pov'
Loud screeching of metal and gears, the large amount of voices that went on around her. Sable was still netted as she thrashed around violently, while snarling venomously. The moment that she touched the ground, she went into a full blown thrashing fit.
Ripping her way out of the net, did she see that she was within a large armored cage, it was bigger than her previous cage that she was in. Looking around curiously, she huffed while standing on her hind legs.
Keenly, she looked around and didn't see anything within the cage with her. Opening her mouth, she roared loudly in a ear piercing manner as she walked on her hind legs as if it were completely normal.
'Dr.Wu's Pov'
Coming to a completely different place and large building that was heavily guarded, and as they were walking in behind the general did he see his creation. He stopped of course as he watched her walk on her hind legs, for it was almost similar to how the Indominus Rex walked.
"That glass is bulletproof, and it is certainly strong enough to take all that abuse from her."
The general said this while looking at Henry Wu's creation with a smile. "We can see her, but she can't see us."
Dr.Wu looked at her closely with calculating eyes, her structure and how she moved was a perfect blend of the two hybrids along with an additional one that was so strange and different. He just couldn't find the right words to describe it.
She seemed so different from the two hybrids that she was made from.
"While we keep her here, we can see what she can and can't do. Who knows giving her a bit more room and exercise will make her more willing to take orders?"
Dr.Wu looked at the general for it was like he had her figured out. Course, he knew better.
"Hopefully you to could come to terms with this? After all I will pay you for your services?"
Dr.Wu swallowed hard for he was in this for the money but should he take the job. His job was practically ruined anyway unless he comes to terms with this choice of profession.
The only thing that played out in his head was that his creation would get out and kill everyone and everything. There wouldn't be anything left if that were to happen.
Including more like her would just make matters worse.
"Think about it.", spoke the general as he walked by Dr.Wu while looking at the hybrid one last time before fully leaving in a calm stride.
As the general leaves, he looked at his creation who was exploring her new environment. Dr.Wu crossed his arms slowly around himself, due to his injuries that lay within him and his chest. He groaned a bit to the uncomfortable sensation of his sides.
Dr.Wu was looking down at the time but he heard movement, lifting his head up slowly did his eyes go wide at his creation which was walking toward him now. The walls and the powerful glass was the only thing that separated her from him.
The generals words echoed out in his head at the time, "She can't see us", but that didn't stop each bit of hair standing up in terror and great discomfort for his creation was looking exactly at him as her maw shivered. Dr.Wu felt incredibly cold as her sharp eyes were looking exactly at him as if she was staring at him. It was like she knew where he was and it was due to the sound that he had made.
Her eyes were so graphically detailed for they shared all of what she was for she was made up of the two most dangerous hybrids in the world. Sharpen with dark blood red and orange with a sharp red color underneath that it made her black slit more edgy in detail and appearance.
She was definitely a beast that could kill many with ease, and enjoyed the taste of blood on her tongue. By just standing there and watching her, he could literally see her mind in motion. Just this view alone petrified him completely.
'Sable's Pov'
This place was so different to her, and she was definitely looking for a way out. When she didn't find one, did she continue looking around with her nose high in the air as she breathed. However, a distant distinct sound caught her attention.
Sparks went off inside of her head in a instant, she registered that sound. Something or someone was hurt nearby and that made her freeze up and turn around in that direction.
Her feet moved as she approached the sound for she memorized where it came from, for her mind continued to spark up when she drew closer to her destination. Sable's head slowly moved into the glass, her eyes were locked onto one specific spot and she refused to move away from it.
Her stance was stiff as she could feel her mouth come alive with anticipation. She definitely sensed someone across from her, and they were weakened for the sound she heard gave that away.
The sounds of weakness made her predatory side purr out, while her mouth and sickle claws move restlessly on the hard metal floor. She wanted to sink her fangs into who or what it was, and just the thrill and excitement made her eyes glow in a way of great interest. Her eyes took on more of the dark red coloring, as her pupils became a thin looking slit.
Sable slowly tilted her head as her eyes slowly shifted up in a way of searching, and as she found a certain spot did she see a faint silhouette on the other side who was frozen still in place. Once seeing that figure did her head move away patiently, before opening her mouth and all at once she suddenly screamed out loudly in her excitement.
'Dr.Wu's Pov'
Just watching her scared him in place, he honestly felt like the bird while the cat looks at him from the other side of the so called glass window. The fact that her eyes searched for him, made it harder for him to breathe.
The moment she moved away from the glass slowly did her mouth open up as she screamed at where he exactly was. That moment scared him more than before as he shifted away from her, while she scratched at the glass with both of her long clawed fingers.
Dr.Wu was further away from the glass now as she quickly turned around and did it again fast. Vast amount of thick claw marks were left in the glass as she huffed and called out in her desperation to get at him.
"She knows I am here...", he thought to himself as he moved away further. He shifted away and left, feeling so uncomfortable at this moment.
Once he left from there and stood outside, did he have to calm himself down. That moment reminded him of when he bumped into his desk, and the way she stared at him was still etched into his mind. It honestly happened again just now, for her senses were that incredible.
The way she pinpointed that sound that he made and followed it was a good example of what she was. She could easily target those who were weaker, if they were hurt or sick she would immediately lock onto them with a large photographic memory.
She remembers and she never forgets either.
Dr.Wu shifted away from the building while going out in search of the general and it didn't take him long to find him. Since he was talking to other people which were soldiers that worked there.
"Oh come with me.", spoke the general as he looked at Dr.Wu.
Dr.Wu of course followed after him while trying to recollect himself. What had happened with his creation just now, he tried to forget about. Though, it was difficult.
Walking to another building, the general sat down in front a bunch of computers that were on. Dr.Wu stood beside him and blinked at what the general was putting into the computer. It didn't take long for him to figure out what was going on.
The computer screen was playing a video of the facility that he had just came from. Dr.Wu blinked a few times as he watched the screen firmly before his eyes went wide to the points of his creation escaping. She pretended to be asleep which made Dr.Wu feel cold as he continued to watch.
The other time was when she destroyed the lights within her cage and the people who were unaware of what was happening. He of course knew that she jumped through the glass when Hagan was testing but to see these other times further scared him.
She was so calm, patient, and intelligent. She knew how to get out of cages that used number pads as well as keys.
"You made something so extraordinary.", smiled the general. "She could be used well in the military."
Dr.Wu felt his hands shake after the video ended, he looked at the general slowly with a firm expression. "I don't think that would be wise. If she can do all of this, what makes you think that you can get her to do what you want?"
The general chuckled, "I will, she just needs to be properly trained."
Dr.Wu felt his heart lurch a bit in his chest, he didn't like the sounds of what the general had in mind.
"You honestly hope to train her?", spoke Dr.Wu.
"Of course! She likes killing, so why not unleash her on our enemies?", replied the general as he gave a firm nod. "Imagine if we had more than one on the battlefield?"
Dr.Wu shuddered at the thought, his eyes were now back on the computer screen as the scenes of her killing those men in riot armor played.
"She is bulletproof, intelligent enough to escape from cages, and chases after her victims in blinding speed. She has all of the makings of a perfect weapon.", the general stopped the video of her on top of a poor man who was laying in his own blood. Shards and broken pieces of the riot armor littered the floor.
Dr.Wu stared at the frozen frame on the screen, his thoughts were all over the place. The military was the best place to keep her contained, but did he really want to make more of her just for money?
He didn't think that his conscious mind could take it, not after what he had seen from his creation.
