Kapitel 49: CANCELLING THE MARRIAGE

 A week later, Lance proposed to Cat in a fancy restaurant with a diamond ring in his hand, going on one knee and promised her to never betray her, cheat on her or give her any pain. He also promised to love her for the rest of his life and Cat, who was already on the brink of tears, nodded and agreed to his proposal and at least, it won't hurt to love again for the third time, won't it. She was so excited and told her parents about the news, which they were delighted about, including Laila but not at all either.

 Lance sat down at the staircase, holding a big tumbler and drinking some champagne in the dark. He needed to think and get his head straight, this was getting complicated and what had he just done to himself. What had he just done, when he had vowed to himself several times, not to fall in love ever again. 

 What had he just done? He had made a terrible mistake.
