Kapitel 17: Chapter 17 Aunt Chloe?
"Who do you think you are then?" Chloe showed up, gorgeous yet cold like a red rose blooming in winter with sharp thorns.
No one noticed when Chloe arrived, and now she stood behind Sasha, crossing her hands over her chest, staring at Sasha.
The moment Sasha came in, she gave Helen various orders, as if she lived in her own home.
Chloe had been watching silently until she couldn't stand anymore seeing Sasha insulted Helen.
Now, Sasha finally paid attention to Chloe. She immediately stood up in a defensive way.
Looking at Chloe, she somehow chickened out, but she wouldn't show it, "What? I am disciplining my servant now and it is not your business. Who the hell are you?"
Seeing Helen's worried face, Chloe got angrier.
"Helen, I am hungry now. Could you prepare breakfast for me?" Chloe made an excuse and asked Helen to leave. Now in the quiet living room, the atmosphere was really standoffish.
Helen turned around for the kitchen at once, which seemed she had chosen her side against Sasha.
"You couldn't do that! You are just a guest here. This is my cousin's house. You can stay here but you can't order the servant." Sasha went furious.
Chloe smiled, "Really? What if I tell you I'm Daniel's fiancee?"
Fiancee? Sasha pointed at Chloe with disgust, "You are Chloe Johnson who abandoned Daniel at the engagement party? I heard you before. You are notorious for recklessness and willfulness. Now that I really meet you today, I know the rumor is right about you."
"I think you confused me with yourself," Chloe said calmly.
"What do you mean? Do you think you can fool me around with this bullshit?" Sasha didn't quite understand what Chloe meant and thus panicked a little. But of course, she wouldn't expose this weakness to Chloe.
While Daniel walked over to Chloe and suggested thoughtfully, "Your foot hasn't fully recovered yet. Sit down and take your time."
Well, how considerate he was...
"Daniel, look at her. Why is she in your house? She is so annoying!" Sasha, who was childish and arrogant, suddenly changed her attitude and said softly to Daniel.
Daniel had never liked this unruly younger cousin.
"Does your mom know you are here?" Daniel glanced at Sasha who was wearing heavy makeup, and then he took his phone out.
But Sasha reached her hand to grab his phone. Daniel never expected that and thus his phone dropped to the ground, making a clear bang.
Daniel frowned, on the edge of getting angry. While Sasha froze on the spot in fear.
At this moment, the phone started to ring. Clearly, Daniel had a call.
He said nothing and walked to the side hall, holding his phone.
Chloe didn't want to be left alone with Sasha, so she walked slowly towards the dining room.
"So you are a cripple! Funny! How can a cripple like you stay in my cousin's house? He must take you in out of pity." Sasha laughed happily and didn't feel guilty about throwing Daniel's phone.
What a despicable girl!
Chloe sighed helplessly and moved faster towards the dining room.
But Sasha wouldn't leave her alone, following her all the way, "Aunt, how did you persuade my cousin into taking you in?"
Aunt?! Chloe turned around immediately and looked at Sasha in disbelief, "I am only four years older than you. Please mind your words."
She was too young to be called 'Aunt', especially not by Sasha.
Now that Sasha knew how to irritate Chloe, she spoke nonstop, babbling all the way like an annoying duck.
"Aunt! You know what? I am Daniel's cousin and our families are very close."
"It has nothing to do with me."
"Aunt! If you want to live here temporarily, please don't disturb me. I am a light sleeper and easy to be awakened."
"You can leave."
Finally, Chloe who had been walking very slowly, couldn't bear it and she called Helen to help her.
"What's the matter with you? As a servant here, you should help me, not the woman who dumped my cousin." Sasha said angrily and gloomily.
Helen couldn't stand it anymore and parted her lips.
But Chloe stopped Helen. She stood still, turning around and staring at Sasha with her deep eyes. "First, Helen is here to help take care of my daily life, not a servant; second, Helen can help you, but you have no right to order her arbitrarily; third, it's Daniel's home, not yours, so you should behave yourself and show your manners as a guest which I'm sure your family have taught you. So please help yourself now, Miss Sasha."
Sasha was too angry to retort. Seeing Daniel coming here, she immediately rushed to him.
"Daniel, this old woman dares to teach me a lesson," She complained in a coquettish tone, which gave Daniel goosebumps.
Daniel didn't like any physical contact with anyone, so he stepped back to avoid Sasha.
"Daniel, my dear cousin, are you... going to drive me away?" Sasha pretended to be pitiful. "Now I see. My parents do not love me, and my only cousin who I trust the most doesn't want me either. I am such a poor girl!"
"Enough now. Or you can leave." Daniel stopped her drama.
He just spoke to Sasha's mother on the phone who said she was too busy to take care of her child. So she asked Daniel to look after her for some time.
Of course, Daniel wanted to refuse. But he didn't find the proper excuse. Besides, she was his cousin.
"I will take you to the Bruce's house after breakfast," Daniel said, sitting at the table.
Bang! Sasha dropped the knife and fork, making a harsh sound.
"No, Daniel, I don't want to go to the Bruce's house. Can you let me stay here with you? Please." Sasha rubbed her eyes as if to cry.
Daniel insisted, "I'm sure you will be taken good care of there."
