“I need to update my wardrobe. I’m going to call my professors and reschedule my internship for the summer. I have to sell the Miata and buy a more substantial car.
“You sure that’s what you want to do, baby? Maybe when more time passes you might still want the Miata.”
“No, I want a more substantial car. I did the research, and I want a Subaru. Can we go tomorrow? If you drove the Miata to the dealership, maybe we could trade it in for a Legacy, Forrester, or an Outback. With the money from the insurance, I can pay cash for the car.” Bobby though Keith’s jaw dropped in shock.
“Do you think you’re ready?” Keith asked.
“I’m ready to go to the graveyard, to finish school, to buy a car, and to make love to you. I’ll wear your ring, Keith, but I’m not ready to get married yet. I have to mourn them and for the past two months, I’ve been mourning myself.”
Keith jumped out of his chair and picked Bobby up kissing him soundly. “Thank you, baby, I’ll try to be worthy of your trust.”
