Kapitel 8: Chapter 8

Vince looked up from the dishes he was stacking in the industrial-sized dishwasher, curiosity in his twenty-two-year-old eyes. Vince went to a nearby college in the evenings so working at Vic’s suited him well. The muscular young man, who wore his blond hair in what could only be called a military cut, was surprisingly soft-spoken and shy.

“Tomorrow morning,” Adam said with no little satisfaction. This morning when he’d got to work, he needed two employees. Now he only needed one. And, Galaxy was here in Sutter’s Bay and he had the prospect for a date for the first time in a long time.

He supposed he shouldn’t date the hired help. That was some sort of unspoken rule. Or maybe it was spoken. All Adam knew was that he was just as attracted to Galaxy as he had on that night ten years ago and he was pretty sure the man was attracted to him, too.

“Did you really know him?” Vince asked, his eyes kept downcast. “From before?”

“I did, about ten years ago.”
