Kapitel 86: Chapter 86

“Put the detergent over next to the last washing machine ‘til we inventory it,” Tuck ordered. “Douglas knows the routine.”

Cam and Douglas began the job of moving the fifty-pound drums. Tuck stood and talked to Mike and joked with the two guards until they were finished.

Finally, Mike closed and locked the truck doors, took the signed delivery slip from Tuck, giving her a copy, and drove out of the yard. The loading bay door was closed and locked.

“Okay, ladies!” Tuck called. “Let’s do it in less than five!”

Suddenly everyone in the laundry snapped to life. Two of the women began shaking out newly washed sheets directly in front of the closed circuit camera, blocking the view of the rest of the room. Tuck tossed a ring of keys to Douglas who unlocked a metal toolbox that was attached to the wall. From it, she took two large monkey wrenches and tossed one to one of the other women who scrambled up next to her on top of the last washer.
