Kapitel 47: Chapter 47

When Mikael and the wolves came back home,everyone retreated to do their last preparations for the evening,and because the last couple of days had been quite snowy,the boys took the little kids to play outside in the new piles of snow.

The Christmas dinner was a feast,even though not completely typically Finnish because everyone wanted their favorite dishes outside the typical menu,and some of the more exotic Finnish foods weren’t anyone’s favorites,not even the Finns.

The center of the table was a massive ham.Carnivores,Dallas thought with amusement.There were different kinds of salads and even a small turkey Rider had insisted having on the Christmas table and had prepared in the old house.

Everyone had fun and ate way too much,and for a while the relaxed atmosphere from the sauna—even though everyone had rushed through the bathing to get to the dinner table—stuck to their overstuffed bodies.
