Noah had never before seen a shifter die.Even his grandpa had passed away quietly in his sleep,with Noah and Dallas in the next room.Intuitively he had known this would happen;the pain that would kill them would turn them to their animal forms and then turn them back to humans after the pain was gone and death came.Seeing it happen to Zoya was worse than anything Noah had ever seen in his life,even in the military.

“We can’t get to her now,Sean!”Mikael called to the grief-stricken wolf,who was only minutes away from losing it completely.With that would come the wolf form,and none of them knew how to deal with this sort of thing.
