Kapitel 8: Chapter 8

Dallas stood there,stunned like everyone else was,but for a completely different reason.He was the first one to chuckle uncomfortably.

“Well,that was….”he said and rubbed his fingertips across his scalp,the recently shorn hair stinging his skin.

“Dallas,I need to see you in my office,”Mikael said in a tone that immediately showed who was the alpha around here.

“Uh,yes,of course.”Dallas swallowed and followed the human,who shared his almost too-short haircut,to the office not far from the living room.

“Sit,”Mikael said and closed the door behind them.

Dallas felt uncomfortable,not threatened,though he knew that Mikael’s mate Maxim was a large cat just like Dallas himself.He did as told,sitting down in the old and worn leather armchair in front of the desk while Mikael went to sit behind it.

“Would you fill me in why one of my best friends in the world just bolted after seeing you?”The human’s tone was deadly.
