“Ian told me I have to work on that. Now let’s plan a party, not a big one, just us. You’re right, he is still in mourning. Yet I can’t let his first birthday with us go by unnoticed. Marie Claire, can you please make a cake for the Alpha Mate and something special for dinner? Luc, go up and size his clothes, his casual clothes not his dress clothes, because those don’t fit. Everybody can get him something.”
“What should we get him, Alpha?”
“I don’t know.” His eyes met André’s. “Let’s talk about it. You probably have a better handle on what he needs than I do. You moved him out of his apartment.” 6
“He doesn’t have an iPod, only that old boom box. He was very frugal, yet he bought the radio. He must like music. I could get him the iPod with a docking station, speakers, and a good set of Bluetooth headphones,” André said proudly. “And a gift card for iTunes.”
Roland elbowed André in the ribs. “Now that you’ve taken care of yourself, how about helping the rest of us?”
