Arago and Sobna stood facing each other. And then Sobna asked, "Where are you going in the middle of the banquet?"
He couldn't help but feel a tinge of annoyance seeing her. He had hoped to slip away unnoticed and avoid any unwanted company.
But now here she was, stumbling towards him, hiccups punctuating her words. Aragon sighed and tried to sidestep her, but Sobna followed him persistently.
"I have some important matters to attend to," Aragon replied, his tone clipped and curt.
Sobna swayed, her drunkenness making her bold. "Can't it wait?" she slurred, leaning in closer to him. "I want to talk to you."
Aragon's eyes narrowed as he took in Sobna's appearance. Her disheveled hair and glassy eyes made him uneasy. He had seen enough drunk nobles in his time to know that things could take a turn for the worse at any moment.
"I suggest you go back to the banquet," Aragon said, stepping back from Sobna. "Before someone sees you like this,"
