Aragon didn't stay the night and went straight away, right after Ivar left with Egnav. He had a couple of drinks of ale, but he didn't seem drunk. He walked back to the village. Aragon seemed almost relieved to be looking back at the hall. Ivar really talked a lot, which made Aragon want to leave immediately. He was eager to get away from Ivar's constant chatter and return to his peaceful home.
The village and the town became quiet as the night passed. All of them have gone to sleep. No fire was seen anywhere. It was all dark, with a few firesticks around the center and in a few other places. The silence of the night was broken by a few chirping birds and the faint crackling of a few firesticks that were lit to keep the animals away. Now and then, a gust of wind swept across the area, rustling through the trees and carrying with it a distinct chill that reminded all of how different the night was from what it used to be. There was an eerie stillness in the air as if a wave of tranquility had descended upon the forest and all of its inhabitants.
The big day has arrived, bringing with it everyone's excitement and, for a few, anxiety. As soon as the sun rose, the servants, in their hurry, moved around the hall. They lit up the lamps and candles and arranged the decorations, ready to welcome guests with the utmost grandeur and splendor. The aroma of incense wafted through the air, creating a calming and peaceful atmosphere in the otherwise chaotic hall.
The hall was decorated with flowers and different kinds of vine leaves like they were spiraled around the pillars. At one end of the hall, an elevated stage was prepared with wood. At the other end of the hall, chairs were arranged in rows for the guests.
Mosce and his son were standing on the first floor and watching the arrangements. The servants were working hard to make the hall ready for the grand celebration that was planned They stood side by side and talked in a low tone that only they could hear.
Mosce said that important members of the Ditrayn will be coming to attend the wedding. The members have not arrived at the wedding; only a few of them came around early this morning. Mosce smiled at his son and said, "We will make sure that everything goes well tonight." They continued to talk in low tones.
Calvon nodded; his sight was focused down the hall. The morning light filled the hall, and with each passing moment, Calvon's anticipation grew.
He was all quiet and only talked to Rhaet a few times. Mosce informed Rhaet about the number of members that would be coming today. Despite the anticipation, only a few members of the Ditrayn had made their way to the wedding by early morning. Rhaet expected that there would be more people coming.
Rhaet tried to probe for information about the coming guests. He wanted to know if their lord was coming or not. But he didn't get any details about the party; now, Mosce said, a few more would be arriving here by noon. Rhaet was disappointed and frustrated that he had not been able to get more information about the upcoming guests, but he had hoped that their lord would be joining them.
