Kapitel 27: Chapter 26

I woke up in a cell, tied by a plethora of chains.

I didn't know how much time had passed when Ned Stark of all people came to visit me.

"What do you want, Stark?"

He came to a halt at the absence of the honorific of 'lord'.

"You don't deserve my respect."

His brows shot up as I said, "I put up with your family for one year and the only semblance of loyalty and affection I developed was for Lyanna. Your father thought we were in love. Istead, we were merely two friends who respected one another. Your father drove Lyanna away."

Through the dim light of the torches, I could see the glistening of his tears. I could guess what had happened and Ned confirmed it by saying, "B-Brandon and father are dead. They were killed by the mad king. Father... He was burnt alive with wildfire.."

I could hear the grief in his voice. He had lost his father and his brother, but, I simply couldn't give a damn.

"What do you want from me?"

Ned swallowed his saliva and said, "Aerys has asked for the heads of Robert and mine. The Arryns, the Baratheons, and us... We are now at war with the Targaryens."

"And you dare to come here in hopes that I will lick your feet and beg for forgiveness? That I'll fight for your family?! For Robert Baratheon?!"

Ned frowned and said, "You are forgetting that I'm a lord and you pledged fealty to my house."

Siddenly, I broke into hysterical laughter. Ned was increasingly uncomfortable by it and after I calmed down, I said, "There were only twl reasons behind it. I wanted to be a lord and teach Lyanna how to fight. Your brother, who promised me that he'll make me a lord, he's dead. Your father who could've made me a lord is dead. Lyanna, whom I taught so well, was spirited away by Rhaegar after his mem cut her arm off. I don't give a fuck if you're a fucking lord or a king!"

Ned growled and said, "I can have your head for such disgrace."

I pushed against my bounds, my muscles buffing up and crushing against the chains. The metal links churned and groaned under the expansive force and then, with a roar, I shattered the chains into pieces!

Ned fell on the floor as one of the broken links struck him on his head. He looked at me as I stood above him with horror filling his eyes.

"The only reason I tolerated your father was to avoid hurting Lyanna. She loved Rickard despite of him being a steaming pile of horseshit. Huh.. In the end, Lyanna got hurt anyway. She could even be dead."

I glared into his eyes and said, "Loyalty, trust... It's a two way street, Stark. Your father sent me on an expedition north of the wall. He wanted me to die on that expedition. He broke my trust. Your father wasn't loyal to his men. He wasn't even loyal to his own children. Forcing Lyanna to such an extent that she chose to run away... Fuck your delluded loyalty and trust."

Ned mustered up his courage and asked, "W-Won't you be hurting Lyanna if you don't help her brother?"

I sneered at his audacity and said, "You truely are that bastard's son. You dare expect Lyanna to care for you when you abandoned her to your father's cruelty?! Worry not, scum, I will not join the Targaryens in a twisted sense of vengeance against you. I know who truely is my enemy. Tell your friend, Robert, if he wants to keep his head, he'd better stay out of my way."

I walked to the bars of the door of the cell and kicked it hard. The force uprooted the door from its hinges and broke all the wood into splinters. As I was about to walk out, Ned asked, "W-Where are you going now?"

I looked back at him and said, "I'm going to end the rule of Targaryens."

Though Jon Arryn called for all his banners, not all of his bannermen sided with him. Robert was at the Eyrie as well, with Jon.

There were those who sided with the king, chief among them Marq Grafton. Grafton called the other loyalists to aid him in barring the rebels from entering the port of Gulltown.

Ned Stark decided to make his own way back to the north. With the help of the Tully who agreed to join the rebel side after Ned sold himself to Hoster Tully's wishes, he made his way to the north with a number of Tully men sent with him as his guards. Once north, Eddard could call his banners.

Meanwhile, Gulltown's defenses eventually fell after an unknown amount of time, with Robert Baratheon slaying Marq Grafton in the taking of Gulltown. He then sailed to Storm's End to call his own banners as well.

Just as not all the lords in the Vale had sided with Jon Arryn, not all the lords in the stormlands sided with Robert Baratheon. The first major battle in the stormlands took place at Summerhall. They were three battles, in truth, all fought on one day. Lords Grandison, Cafferen, and Fell had gathered their hosts and planned to join forces at Summerhall. From there, they would march on Storm's End. However, thanks to an informer, Robert learned of their plans and rode with his knights and squires to Summerhall, where he attacked each host in turn. Robert killed Lord Fell in battle.

Lord Cafferen and Grandison, as well as Lord Fell's son, Silveraxe, were taken captive and brought to Storm's End when Robert's returned there after the battles, for unknown reasons. There, Robert turned his enemies into friends, as both Lords Grandison and Cafferen, as well as Silveraxe would later be loyal to Robert.

Following his victory at Summerhall, Robert was now free to march north, to join up with Jon Arryn and the northmen.

As the battles were being fought, I reached the gates of King's Landing. The security at the gates was extreme and not a single soul was allowed to enter or leave the city.

My eyes gazed upon the cursed sigil of the house of dragons on the banners hung over the walls and on the plate armor of the guards. My eyes burned with fury and I walked out into the clearing with a big halberd clinging to my back.

The guards easily saw me and fired a warning arrow at my feet. I didn't flinch or stop even for a moment. The guards yelled for me to stop as outsiders weren't allowed inside the city. Their words were clouded by the haze of rage in my mind.

With a pair of spikes in my hands, I rushed to the walls which caused the guards to panic. They shot arrows towards me, but, I evaded them easily. As I reached the base of the wall, I struck the spike towards it with such force that the stone gave away.

And, so, I climbed up the wall with two spikes in my hands like an otherworldly monster going after its prey.

The guards were yelling and doing everything at their disposal to stop my climb. But, I was simply too agile for them. Within moments, I had reached the top of the wall. My eyes pierced through them as they tried to scream and shout. With heavy influence of 'Apex aura', they were rendered speechless.

"It's time to harvest some dragons!!!"
