Looking at Kathleen's lifeless eyes, John's expression slightly changed, hurriedly let go of his hand around her neck.
He realized what Kathleen was thinking and was furious. "You wanted to die, don't you?"
"Don't even think about it. You are mine; your life belongs to me. Even if you died, your soul belongs to me!"
"You can't die as long as I said so."
The corners of Kathleen's mouth twitched into a smile as she looked at John's angry expression.
Her smile carried a hint of mockery, angering John more.
He shook her shoulders vigorously and said fiercely, "Kathleen, did you hear what I said? You owe me, and you'll have to pay your debts by staying by my side for the rest of your life!"
Kathleen fell to the ground, unable to take it any longer.
Her pupils dilated, and she passed out.
"Kathleen, Kathleen!" John trembled slightly and hurriedly picked her up.
