Kapitel 56: Epilogue

It was a pretty strange feeling for me to return to that place, where the city – where I had spent the last thirteen years – once was. Walking step by step through that tall, overgrown grass, which now covered everything, every memory came back to my mind.

Although there was nothing but vegetation, I was perfectly able to orient myself, to remember every building, every street that was once there. I had lived there for thirteen years, I could never have erased that city from my memories so easily.

Only this was left of Blackbones, a memory.

For me, that was the first time in months I had set foot there again. It hadn't been easy for me to find the courage to visit that place.

I felt a sense of melancholy walking through the tall grass. I thought of all those people who would never return home, of all those people who, for years, had been fed to the Keepers, before I even know about Blackbones.
