Kapitel 24: Chapter 25

Kate must have seen my facial expression change because she stopped talking.

I could see her stare at me from the comer of my eye.

She called out my name and this time I faced her and I could see curiosity swirling in her eyes.

"What? What happened?" She questioned.

"Can we leave now?" I got up, ice cream in hand.

Kate held my hand. "Why? Whats wrong?" She got up with her ice cream too.

"I'll explain later. Just...please come."

Not waiting to see if she was following me, I headed towards the door, intent on not wasting any time.

I pulled the door open and bee lined for Kate's car. Wanting to be as far from sight as possible. But as luck would have it, no such thing happened.

I was in such a rush that I didn't see ahead of me because standing next to Kate's car was Owen.

When I saw him, he was about to enter the store. How did he move so quickly to that position?

I stopped walking, not knowing what else to do.
