Kapitel 156: Scouting

The gunshots came from a tube-shaped building at the foot of the mountain. Qiu Tong and Song Yan hid behind the broken walls of the building to investigate the situation.

In the dark night, Qiu Tong and Song Yan laid low for nearly ten minutes without hearing any more gunshots. They exchanged glances and silently retreated to a quieter corner. Song Yan lowered his voice and said, "From the looks of it, the gunshots might have been misfirings while they were adjusting their guns."

"According to what the resident said earlier, they have already searched the residential buildings and shops in this area. It's relatively safer."

"Arrange for a large team to camp here. Stay alert and wait for orders."

Song Yan put on his pistol and protective gear and continued, "I'll go and check on the situation when it gets later into the night."

"I will go and get a general idea of their situation. We will discuss the specific battle plan when I return."
