Kapitel 172: Chapter(Hundred) Seventy One: Jail

" Have you fired a gun before?" 

Thiago froze at the question slung at him by his father. The question was one he hadn't expected and his first reaction; shock, was enough to stop him in front of the threshold before he was able to walk out the door. Slowly, he glanced at Dominic who stood just a few feet behind him.

Thiago didn't recall how their conversations had taken a turn and progressed to this, nor did he remember what their so-called conversation was even about. He knew it had to have been something about school or maybe something about the class he was going to be late for if he didn't hurry. 

His brain went blank.

" Excuse me," Was the only thing he could mutter. 

Dominic stepped closer. " I asked if you have shot a gun before." 

By that question, Dominic meant; have you killed before? 

Dominic had a way of palliating the things he says but his words still held subtle hints of their true meaning.
