Kapitel 239: Still Naive

Megan's POV

I didn't expect my husband would do something that would blow my mind. I asked Ashton not to make a show since I wanted his father to continue liking me even if, at the back of my head, I knew he was planning all this to make me realize I could never be part of his family.

 The humiliation I felt was rewarded by too much gratification when my husband kissed me on the lips and announced in front of everyone that I was his wife.

We danced, and the sound faded in the background as I looked into my husband's eyes. I had never felt so alive and happy like this; I could tell Ashton's makes all my fantasies come true.

"I love you, Megan, and I love what I feel right now. I hated my father for manipulating my life since I wanted to be a professional football player. All my life, I did what he wanted me to be, to the extent that I broke your heart years ago." He declared as we slowly danced, and I felt like I was floating in the air.
