Knock
Knock
"Princess, please open the door," Selone said after knocking on the door.
"On my way," I yelled, while in the proses of getting to the door, I tripped on something. Getting a bad feeling, I teleported outside my door next to Selone.
"Eh!?" Shouting in surprise, Selone threw everything into the air. "P-princess, you scared me!"
"Ah, sorry," I said just when multiple sounds of things falling came from my room.
Bang.
Doof.
Bang.
Bang.
"...oops."
"Princess, what was that," Selone said, staring at the door.
"Uuuuuhh, a room falling apart," I said hesitantly.
"Falling apart?" Selone said instead of picking the books and things up. She walked up to the door.
Slam.
"What the hell happened here," Selone said, slamming the door open.
Looking inside, you could see a rope hanging from the ceiling. The bed was halfway in the air, with the head side being a lot higher than the other side. The crates I was given were made out of wood, so I took part wanting to make myself a proper desktop to work on. Proper means a huge table.
"Princess Ren..." Selone said, turning slowly towards me.
"What? I was busy working." I said, shrugging at her.
"Busy working at taking everything apart, and your bed is flouting!! How is it flouting!?" Selone said, pointing at the half-flouting bed.
"Flouting? No, it is held up with rope." I said, pointing at the roof where there were small hooks.
"Rope? Where is the rope."
"Well, it's more wire than rope. Just get closer and mind your step," I said, pushing her closer to the bed to see the ropes.
"Oh, it's so thin, though. How." Selone said, surprised, inspecting the wire.
"It's actually assassin wire I made myself. I think it is able to hold up to 1 ton before breaking. Never really tested it."
"Assassin wire you made? How did you get it here, though?" Selone asked, looking at me with a raised eyebrow.
"It was in one of the crates with all my weapons and things. I actually have no idea how you guys got it."
"Fair point."
"What the hell is happening in here!" Someone behind us said, surprised.
Turning around, I saw Lucas standing in the doorway with a raised eyebrow and a very confused facial expression.
"Build, reconstruction, I guess," I said, shrugging.
"Big Brother, why did you shout like that." I heard Sara ask from the hallway.
"Good morning, little sis. I just saw what Ren did to her room." Lucas said, gesturing for her to get closer.
"Little Ren? What did she do? Oh my... how is that bed floating?" Sara said, tilting her head sideways.
"It has a wire, and do not call me, little Ren," I said, walking to the wood that had fallen over.
"But little ren fits you so well," Sara said, walking closer to me.
"Don't call me that," I said, glaring at Sara.
"Hmm, nightmares? I see I see I will be back later. let's have some quality time together, okay." Sara said, confusing the hell out of me.
"Big brother, big sister, what's going on?" Karl said, walking up to Lucas before bumping into his waist.
"Good morning Karl. Did you sleep well?"
"Yes, but why are you guys so loud this early in the morning," Karl said, rubbing his droopy eyes.
"Aah, there was just a little accident, that's all."
"Oh, okay, let's go eat then. Pappa and momma must be waiting."
"They went out of town this morning," Selone said while helping me clean up a bit.
"What? Why!" Karl whined loudly.
"They have some business to do and people to inform about the peace treaty," Lucas said, petting Karls's head and calming him.
"But, but they didn't say goodbye."
"They had to be out early because they need to be back before Selena returns," Selone explains, getting everyone's attention.
"Selena is coming home," Sara said with a thoughtful expression.
"NOOOOOOOO!? Witch sister is coming back!!"
Karl whined, falling to his knees like the world was about to end.
"What!? Don't lie!! That witch should just stay away.!" The other twin also shouted from the hallway, running closer.
"Do explain why you guys have so much dread coming of you from just hearing her name," I asked, looking at everyone and seeing the visible darkness coming off of all of them.
"Well, she is-"
"The devil, the truest witch, an actual person that has ever lived. Selena is a monster in a cat tribe demon form." Julia explains, coming around the corner and gripping her fist.
"Selena is from the cat tribe? Oh, that's interesting." I mumbled, nodding to myself.
"Don't underestimate her. She got her looks from her mother, but her strength is 100% from Pappa," Julia explains, shivering.
"Is she as strong as Uwe?" I ask, not overthinking.
"... you just called dad by his name," Karl said, surprised.
"He said he is fine with it, though?" I said, tilting my head.
"No one calls him by his name other than his wives," Julia said with a raised eyebrow.
"Huh, so what? I was adopted. Now I am also just calling by name," I said, shrugging.
"It can't be, right?" Karl mumbled, looking up at Lucas, giving a shocked expression.
"Wow, wow, you are too young to even think about things like that," Lucas said, shaking his head vigorously.
"Sigh, annoying. I am not even into men," I said, sighing in annoyance.
"Oh, oh, so you after momma," Karl said with a fist pump.
"... the fuck do you guys teach this kid," I said, staring at the older siblings.
"Nothing, nothing at all." They both Julia and Lucas said, dragging Karl away.
"Selone, please remind me to let Lina and Leah know about this," I asked, looking at her.
"Will do, Princess Ren. I myself am a bit shocked he knows things like that." Selone said with a thoughtful expression.
"What? I also want to have a harem one day," Karl said, coming around the corner and running into my room.
"... so you want to follow in your father's footsteps," I said, staring at him like he was crazy.
"What, there is nothing wrong with wanting a harem," Sara said, still standing in the doorway, seeing my facial expression.
"Well, I just don't see the point in it. Having to satisfy multiple people all at once is just annoying, I think." I said, turning away while explaining.
"That is not really denying it. You know that, right," Sara said smugly while grinning at me after joining us again.
"The fuck do I need to deny it? I said I dislike it, and it just sounds annoying." I said, getting frustrated.
"… do you mean you won't join one, or do you don't want to create one. I am confused."
"Neither, thank you very much. Just drop the subject." I said, throwing the last wood onto the rest of the wood.
"But-
"Selone, get them out. I am going to pop a fuse at this rate," I said, returning to the table I was busy building.
"As you wish, princess Ren," Selone said, bowing before ushering the rest of the kids out.
"Fine, I will leave, but we are still going to have some time together in the afternoon, okay," Sara said, walking out.
"…"
'So annoying I just want some distractions, not an annoying pest buzzing around me.' I thought, getting more annoyed.
"Here is the rest of your things, princess," Selone said, purring down the books and water close to the walk-in closet.
"Thanks, Selone. I will call you when I need you again," I said, nodding at her before returning to the wood in front of me.
"As you wish, princess," Selone said with a bow.
"Ah, please keep the new siblings away for a few days at least."
"I will do that, Princess Ren."
"Thanks."
"Oh yes, before I go, princess, the best way to forget about old memories is to make new ones," Selones said, closing the door before I could rebuke her.
"Tsk, annoying."
"Annoying but true words." Selone said from the other side of the door.
"… tch, can't even mumble things now."
Looking at the pile of wood, I sighed again before looking at the wanky bed in the air.
"Let's fix that first," I mumbled, teleporting top of the bed.
