It seemed that Elena carried out the plan just as he suggested. Now everyone believed that it was Trayvon's fault for initiating the fight with the thugs. 

Elena used her money to bribe some people in the force as well as the thugs to make a scenario about the incident. The thugs were also promised an instant bailout on the conditions that they had to tell a fake story about Trayvon harassing one of their friends first and calling him names.
