Clyde shut his eyes and heaved a deep sigh, as if holding back from lashing out. The man then turned away from Ryley and walked towards the window, lightly pounding his fist on the surface as if trying to relieve a bit of his frustration.
"Even if I don't want to see you again, it doesn't mean you can just put your life in danger!"
Seeing this, Ryley scooted over and got off from bed with baby steps. The weight in his heart was set free each time he took a step closer. Ryley really wanted to hug Clyde but he stopped just before he could reach the Alpha's lonely back.
He swallowed the bitterness in his mouth once again before his shaky voice finally came out. "How is it different if I stayed in our home then died from the forest fire and being abandoned by you?" Ryley muttered, eyes glistening with tears as he bit his lower lips and breathed out quivering.
