When the car stopped in front of the foundation's building, Ryley snapped out of his reverie and straightened his back from the seat.

He pulled out his phone and swiped the screen to see if there was any notification from Alex, but apparently, not yet.

When he accidentally found a syringe in the bathroom's bin last night, he demanded an explanation from Lucas.

Ryley recalled how the man tried to explain why the syringe might be there, Lucas told him that Clyde had been taking injections to neutralize his scent that often abnormally leaked out of control since he returned from Arizona.

Lucas also told him that Clyde refused to tell where he got the injections.

All Lucas knew about was that his young master brought the injections with him when he came back from Arizona, Ryley's home state.

Alas, he didn't tell Ryley what the injection was actually for.
