It had always been ingrained in the Alpha's brain that he had to protect himself from any danger in any way possible.

Especially now that he had a little fox waiting for his return... Clyde would do anything just to come back to Ryley again.

Besides, he didn't want to corner Claire to choose between him or Sean, her own son. That's why he thought he didn't need to tell her what he was going to do.

"What do you mean exile? You've been managing Europe branch for 5 years, who would dare to kick you from there?" Ryder argued in a confusing tone. He felt increasingly strange when he caught Clyde raising his eyebrows mysteriously.  "I know some people don't want you to climb up but it won't be that easy for them to strip you off your current position."

"Don't be so confident yet. They will send me to one of the red regions in the first chance." Clyde replied in a serious tone.
