The banquet was all set, leading figures would soon make their appearances here in the hidden yet enormous mansion of Aldric Family.

Just as it was built like a real palace, lines of gigantic doors made the wall of its carpet-covered corridor, almost looking unreal.

It should've been a joyful night, especially for Claire, since her husband's birthday would be celebrated here in the Aldrics' main house, which pretty much signified the man's importance as a son-in-law of the powerful Alpha family.

But she could care less about everything with those dull eyes on her face now that she blankly gazed at the dark sky outside while hugging her little brother's shirt close to her chest.
