If a question came to him asking how deep of a pain that his heart went through right now, he probably couldn't answer it.

Ryley didn't even know why his hands suddenly moved by themselves and pulled the taller Alpha into his embrace, as if he wanted him to share the burden that's been dragging him down.

It was a weird gesture on his part, but... He couldn't help it.

The sight of this arrogant Alpha losing the light of his life felt so... foreign. At least for him.

His palm gently rubbed the back of the man's head, and his slightly shaken voice let out a whisper.

"I'm here...."

And as soon as it penetrated the scarred ear beside his lips, a loud sound of heavy object crashing against the floor echoed.

Ryley shut his eyes tight, not a speck of attention he directed to find out whatever it was, and only tightened his arm around the man's neck.
